I'm happy for him, too. Burnett has some of the best raw stuff in the majors, and looks to finally be able to spot it. He's walking a career low 2.4 batters per nine innings so far in 2010, although it appears this control has come at the cost of strikeouts. He has only 28 through 40.2 innings, very uncharacteristic of him. It probably has to do with the fact that he's now throwing more fastballs than ever before in his career, 74.3% of his pitches in 2010.
This is probably an early-season fluke, though, as he's averaged 203 strikeouts a season over his career.
