The Commanders somehow have 15 Whites on the 53 man roster but it seems like far fewer. Having the seemingly almost mandatory three White tight ends boosts what otherwise is a totally uninteresting team that starts just 2 of those 15 overachievers to begin the 2026 season, both on the offensive line, a drop from last year’s 3 starters.
The White starters on this long-time Caste System bastion are center Nick Allegretti and right guard Sam Cosmi. Backups are C Patrick Lucas, RG Matt Gulbin, and LT Andrew Wylie (what’s a White tackle doing on this team?).
John Bates is the second string tight end, Ben Sinnott is third string, and Colson Yankoff holds down the fourth spot at the position.
Athan Kaliakmanis is the third string quarterback. He’s a rookie who was taken in the seventh round this year and just may see the field at some point given the injury histories of Jayden Daniels and Marcus Mariota. Daniels, after giving DWFs fond memories of RGIII during his rookie season, has since continued to follow RGIII’s rapid fall due to injuries and declining effectiveness.
Christian McCaffrey’s very talented brother Luke continues to receive an All Pro screwing from long-time Caste Clown head coach Dan Quinn and offensive coordinator David Blough. Possessing ideal NFL size at 6’ 2” and 195 pounds with 4.46 speed and an RAS of 9.22, which ranks 239th best all time out of 3,063 wide receivers from 1987 through 2024, McCaffrey is also a heady former quarterback, which obviously helps when making the transition to WR from that position.
But none of that is good enough for Quinn, even Luke’s 18.5 average yards per reception in limited playing time last season (11 catches for 203 yards). Additionally, prima donna QB Daniels has been notable for the way he continually ignores McCaffrey when he is wide open. In a league based on ability and potential and given how successful his brother has been at a “taboo” position, McCaffrey would be a highly coveted asset, but that is not how the anti-White NFL and its Caste System works.
On defense, ILB Leo Chenal was signed away from Kansas City, where he was always underused, and now will be underused with Washington. Due to an injury he played 82% of the snaps in Week 2 and responded with 12 tackles, 6 of them solo, one of the top performances by any defensive player, yet will likely go right back to backing up linebackers who aren't as good as he is. Such is life on the D.C. Caste plantation.
Kain Medrano is listed as a middle linebacker but to this point in his second year in the league has yet to be used as anything but a WSTD.
