2026 Track Results

I'm pretty sure it's accurate since there was no women's collegiate track until 1969, and women's NCAA track didn't start until 1982.
I don't think any white guy has been the NCAA 100 leader since 1982, although there may have been a woman or two (Jenna Prandini and Hannah Cunliffe for example) that might have been.
I thought maybe Betty Robinson ran track and field in university but maybe it was unofficial intramural club type competitions. She reigned as the same time as Percy Williams but he only ran club meets in Canada and never competed at the NCAA level.

If the first official year of women's track was that year then the odds would be near zero as Blacks dominated the 100m dash since the mid 60's.

PS I swear I read about women competing at least since the early 60's as Wilma Rudolph ran for her HBCU in 60' but maybe it wasn't officially recognized. I know in basketball the women had a forerunning governing body that wasn't the NCAA maybe track and field was similar.

You're right - Wilma Rudolph did compete on the Tennessee State Women's track team.
But there was no national championship for women's collegiate track until 1969.
There was an AAU Championships for women going back to the 1920s, but that was the equivalent of a national championship vs. a collegiate championship.

Victoria Cameron's 11.01 and Abel Jordan's 10.12 at the Texas Relays today, are both NCAA #1 performances (fastest times in the NCAA) at the time of their races. Hopefully they hold their #1 spots through the weekend.

So the fastest man and woman in the NCAA at the moment are white!
I'm sure that has never happened before.

Victoria Cameron Blows Black Runners Away in 100 Meter Dash

Victoria Cameron is an American sprinter from Texas, who competes for Tarleton State University. She's very fast, and much faster than her black competitors. This emergence of white athletes is happening in basketball and track and field. Whites are more frequently excelling in such sports that were dominated by blacks in the past. Given how important sports are to blacks, and how superior they think they are, they probably are not happy about this trend.

gotta say she is fast! Having said that the coach in me would talk to her about her left arm movement or almost flailing. Smooth that out and she is sub11 in this race.
