2026 Track Results

Lachlan Kennedy's 100 Meters from last night is a the 2.17 mark. He ran a 10.03 to start the season in cold weather.

Hale truly needs to rethink his track career, the mustache is silly. He must have something physically wrong with him not mental. His body looks a bit pudgy from this video. Master Multi have you heard anything in the Aussie media, his own media?

no mate, Jack Hale is now well off the radar as a prospect. He's an also-ran that makes up the field.
Maybe he doesn't know what to do with himself but hopes somehow he'll be the star they were predicting 10 years ago. I feel for him - it's sad really

Our friend Emilie Erasmus ran a seasons best of 10.21 +1.0 a few weeks ago. It's great to see him still running fast in his mid 30's. I'm hoping
he can continue sprinting for another couple of years. I love to see men & women chase their dreams in track & field!

I try to be a realist with expectations and analysis, but I'm dead certain if it had been a warm, sunny 25C afternoon Kennedy would have run sub 9.95 with nil wind.
The footage before and during televising events reminded my wife and I we need to see Melbourne again soon. A fabulous city even though it doesn't have our (Sydney's) harbour. Just need to wait for a secure fuel supply again after Israel's hostilities quieten down

Kennedy is running up some good 100s now.... his top 5 from the last 15 months average 10.01 with a +0.6 tailwind

Good Day Mate! I said it last year and I will repeat it. Lachlan Kennedy will break Patrick Johnsons National Record. I will go above and beyond that. He will break Christophe Lemaitre's 9.92 Record for our guys. I see 9.80's in this kids near future. He is just a physical specimen
that checks off most of the box's. He can squat over 600 pounds and he isn't a huge guy. So explosive and amazing to watch!

Glad to hear that you and the wife are doing good. This summer is gonna see some records go down. Let's hope for great weather for a change at the Australian Championships. If we have good weather the record of P.Johnson should be broken!

I don't know much about him except he is on the rise (although last year was quite moderate - so maybe some injury niggles as he grows).
I've found this 3 year old youtube of a skinny 17 year old Colgan having just won the Victorian schools championship end of 2022 in 10.83.
He's a country boy from a place on the Victorian/NSW state border called Wodonga and really progressed quickly after school. I'm guessing he moved to Melbourne for coaching and competition opportunities - that's 300kms from his home in Wodonga.

In 2 weeks time the Australian championships will be held in Sydney, about 11 kms from where I live. I'm aiming to go out to Homebush on the Friday night to see the 100m heats where 40 men and women will take part. Then perhaps on the Saturday when the semis and final will be held

yes sir, even Patrick Johnson himself says he will take his record.
I just amended a post to add "Kennedy's top 5 x 100s of the past 15 months average 10.01 with a +0.6", true consistency that our other top sprinters haven't been able to replicate.
I think Browning might be down under 10.10 in a fortnight's time. He always takes a while to peak but often peaks on time.

I'm also hoping for a best ever 4 x 400 team at Com Games. We have 3 guys in the 44s now and another 2 below 45.5 - some depth again

Braelyn Baker, former HS star, and now a sophomore at Duke, ran an NCAA leading 50.80 400m over the weekend.
It may also be a US leading outdoor time...not sure.

trying to make the CGs team again for Glasgow? He ran at the Gold Coast Com Games 4 x 100m in 2018 so he's had a long career

it must be wierd to get a Gold medal 18 months after the event, but with Adeijah Hodge failed drug test Australians now get Gold and Bronze in the world under 20 200metres in Lima, Peru.
I feel for our Bronze medalist who never got a chance to stand on the podium because of a cheat. Jessica Milat won't get that chance again but at least she has a medal to show her children/grandchildren in later days

Here's a new one for you . . . Marko Ferreira, 19 yrs old of South Africa, ran a 10.09s (-0.6w) in the 100m semi-finals at the ASA Age Group Championships in Germiston. He later won the final in 10.16.
His 10.09 is the fastest U20 in Africa, and 2nd fastest in the world at the moment.

Can you please post this also in the South African Sprinters Category? Thanks.
