Chicago vs. New England, two "run of the mill" teams by Freethinker's legendary demographic rankings, kick off Week 7.

Rookie Dillon Thieneman has been playing great at strong safety for the Bears, who also feature two White defensive tackles who see snaps, highly unusual by Caste NFL standards -- James Lynch and rookie Jordan van den Berg. The Bears will also have three overachievers starting on the o-line along with emerging star Colston Loveland at tight end, with Cole Kmet an excellent backup. A nice improvement over recent nearly all-black Chicago squads.

WR Efton Chism has played 76% and 62% of the snaps the past two weeks for the Patriots. We'll have to see if that holds tonight now that A. J. Brown is finally over his ankle issue. Drake Maye is back playing very well following a slow start, while Robert Spillane anchors the defense. Overall still a pretty black team that just missed being ranked among the "worst of the worst."

Good summary of tonight’s game. Not the worst compared to some Thursday games. I’m rooting for Maye to continue his hot play. Hopefully Chism gets targeted more this week.

Saw Brendan Schooler and it made me remember, I always wondered why he was switched to WR from safety. He had 75 tackles and led the team with 4 int his FR year at Oregon then swapped to WR and fizzled out before becoming just a special teams guy. 4.4 speed at 6’2 210 with great production as a freshman, I’m sure he could have become a really great safety.

aww man Maye had Raridon for the TD there just under threw him a bit and got picked off, also had Chism pretty open on the play. Chism and Raridon had all the receiving yards on that drive though, good to see them involved. not looking at aj brown much this game

Loveland TD!

Not sure what's up with Spillane. He's gone from an annual tackling machine to just one solo tackle in each of the past two games and just 2 assists so far in this one. Reminds me of Logan Wilson's rapid decline last season, maybe he's playing with an injury. . .

Raridon gets the 30 yard TD this time. Maye looking good and pulling the Pats within a score again. Pats defense can’t stop anyone however.

Edit: Santos makes a 58 yarder.

Bears in long FG range and Caleb takes the sack and now Maye will have a chance to win.

Thieneman taking special teams snaps, taking almost 40% of their special teams plays this year on top of 97% of defensive snaps. And people always wonder why our guys seem to get injured a lot. No other bona fide starters in the league are forced to take these car crashes/extra full sprints on top of their normal duties, assuming that's extra practice duty as well.
