Since 2007, Washington State have started 8, 9, 8, 11, 13, 13, 10, 8, 9, 7, 7, 4, 6, 6, 4, 3 and 6 white players. In 2025 they start 13.

The Cougars are an interesting case study in terms of the transfer portal. New head coach Jimmy Rogers comes over from FCS South Dakota State where he went 27-3 and won an FCS championship. By my count there are 17 transfers from South Dakota State on the roster.

The Cougars lost there dynamic dual threat QB John Mateer to Oklahoma so those will be big shoes to fill.

Wow, talk about turning back the clock! 2 and 3 seasons ago they had Cam Ward and an almost entirely black team. Props to Jimmy Rogers and hopefully he builds this program up the way he did SDST and doesn't turn out to be a turncoat.

Lol holy cow! The new (two-team) Pac-12 is the whitest conference in all the land!

Notable games are Sept 20 vs Washington, Oct 11 at Ole Miss, and Oct 18 at Virginia. It will be cool to see how they measure up against the "real" power conference schools. They also play a home-and-home series against Oregon State.

The Cougars beat Idaho 13-10 on a walk-off field goal this weekend. Voorhees got 6 carries for 19 yards (the black running back had 10 for negative 4 yards!!) and also 5 catches for 18 yards. Franci, Durrance, and Palano were the leading tacklers. QB Jaxon Potter had a safe 23/30, 208, 1 touchdown line with no turnovers. TE Trey Leckner caught a ball.
