Since 2005 the number of White starters for Penn State has been 8, 10, 9, 8, 12, 10, 8, 10, 9, 10, 8, 8, 8, 6, 8, 5, 2, 4, 3 and 4. The number drops back to 3 to begin 2025.

Penn State was 13-3 last year, winning two playoff games before falling to Notre Dame in the Orange Bowl. James Franklin has admittedly been mostly successful in converting the Nittany Lions from what had been a relatively White friendly program for decades into a hardcore Caste one that continues to win a lot of games. Of course he's been helped a lot by top players like TE Tyler Warren and QB Drew Allar.

After a huge 2024 that resulted in him winning the John Mackey award as the country's top collegiate tight end, Warren is now with the Colts as their first round selection, hoping to duplicate the huge rookie years of Sam LaPorta (2023) and Brock Bowers (2024). Warren's replacement this year is named Khalil Dinkins, and it doesn't take a Rhodes Scholar to decipher that he isn't White. If it's any consolation the next four tight ends on the depth chart are.

Allar was fantastic in '24, completing 262 of 394 passes (66.5% completion rate) for 3,327 yards, 24 TD passes and 8 picks, while also running for 302 yards and 6 TDs. At 6' 5" and 235 pounds he has ideal NFL size, especially so given his mobility. He should be one of the first players drafted by the NFL in 2026, maybe even first overall.

This is a good scouting report on Allar: https://nfltraderumors.co/scouting-report-on-penn-state-qb-drew-allar/

Penn State actually had a White starting linebacker last year, Dominic DeLuca. But the walk-on has been demoted to begin the 2025 season and is now listed as second string. There are no White starters on defense and LB Anthony Speca joins DeLuca as the only other White on the two-deep.

At wide receiver, redshirt senior Liam Clifford is a second stringer who sees the field some -- 89, 130 and 286 yards receiving the past three seasons respectively. By Franklin's standards that qualifies as a Caste buster.

QB: Drew Allar
RG: Cooper Cousins
RT: Nolan Rucci

DeLuca always seemed to come up with a big play.

Rooting for Allar to have a big season and help cement his draft stock.

If it wasn't bad enough being surrounded by an all black team -- were are Drew's reliable, sure-handed White TE's, tough, grinding, lunch-pail, intelligent offensive-line blockers? And why isn't talented Liam Clifford playing? ... Then throw in a clueless mulatto head coach, who seems to hate white athletes.

Now this: A season-ending injury. I wonder if he has an extra season of eligibility left? This is not good!

Only silver-lining? Perhaps the team totally implodes (Oklahoma State style) without Drew and Ben Franklin (or whatever his name is?) is fired?

Allar will probably have a COVID year left. I’ll have to double check as those rules are screwy.

Franklin should be done as head coach. Not saying the replacement will be better but low single digit White athlete starters has been his MO.

Leo, looks like Allar is in the same boat as Kyle McCord last year -- he's absolutely burned his redshirt year, but can apply for an extra year and hope for the best -- it's a long shot? McCord eventually gave up his similar effort for an extra year and entered the draft. McCord went in round 6 last spring, and has been relegated to the practice squad in Philly.

This clown (Thor) is currently setting the narrative for numerous "Net sports sites", including USA Today, claiming Allar will also drop into the latter day 3 rounds, like McCord.

Drew Allar would have been a first-round pick last spring. He’ll be a late-Day 3 dart throw in April if he doesn’t apply for and win a medical redshirt.

I don't think so. No talented quarterback prospect goes from a absolute "first round pick", to 6 or 7 round in just 6 months due to bad coaching and an injury. Drew's arm talent and athletic ability will still be there, when he heals. His "intangibles" (intelligence, football IQ, ect) will still be there.

Perhaps he's pushed down into round 2 or 3, but I doubt he drops more than that. Better Chance he goes in round 1, than round 6 or 7!

Also, his final career stats are still very good. 61 TD's, 13 Int's, almost 64% accurate and 7,400 yards!

Thanks for the info. It looks like Allar started his career in 2022 and the Covid waiver only applied to the 2020-2021 seasons. Tough break for Allar who in his first year starting looked to be a top 5 pick. Any critic of Allar needs to just watch the awful offensive scheme in which he played.

Franklin absolutely is to blame for this season.

Franklin shitcanned. Of course it can be said be careful of what you wish for because the replacement could be worse but honestly Franklin already darkened up PSU just about as far as he could take it. Only thing missing was a black quarterback.
That was quick if I didn't know any better I would guess somebody on this board is a PSU board of regents member...

Jokes aside I thought Franklin making a Final 4 appearance bought him time but the heat was too much from boosters and fans for the extremely mediocre Franklin keeping his job.

About time. Franklin pushed the caste envelope almost as far as he could possibly take it, and this is what it got him. Nothing of value was lost with his firing.

Franklin completely destroyed the in state pipeline for White athletes. PA is a state with a large population of White football players throughout the state. Again, the only way they can fall further is if they bring back Urban Meyer or another coach with a black quarterback fetish to just put the icing on the caste cake.

Absolutely. Hopefully his replacement will recruit enough Whites that I can root for Penn State again. There's a wealth of White talent in PA that both Penn State and Pitt ignore.

With all the names being floated it will probably not be much better to be honest.

Some great points by all. FE, check the link in post #5: He's absolutely burned his redshirt year. Scroll down the link, it list's (with photos) PSU's 2022 recruiting class.

In that recruiting class of 2022, PSU signed over 20 players. Only 2 white QB's and a punter. Heck, I didn't even think they signed punters, I figured they were mostly preferred walk-ons or were poached from the soccer team?

As far as the QB's, I assume it was just a matter of time before they went all black or mulatto at QB. This fired clown was the mulatto, collegiate version of the odious Dennis Green, who not only fielded almost all black teams, but once (early 2000's) had 5 or 6 black QB's on the Vikings roster (53 man and P-squad) one season.

Anyhow, it had gotten to the point (for several years) where PSU didn't even sign White offensive lineman. And, unless a White tight end had incredible/insane talent (i.e. Colts rookie), they only signed mulatto tight end's -- Giants (Canadian) and Jaguars mulatto's are from PSU. Probably have been several others mulatto's in the PSU TE mix recently?

Penn State, Ohio State and Michigan were all turned from fairly White friendly into de-facto SEC teams a decade ago. Ohio State is turning around a bit, since that hideous creature left and took the Jacksonville Jags gig. Harbaugh screwed up Michigan.
