Hawaii has had 3, 4, 5, 5, 3, 5 and 2 white starters. No write-ups were done in 2013/2014. Since 2015, they have started 4, 3, 4, 3, 3, 1, 4, 2 and 5 whites. They drop down to 2 in 2025 with the potential increase with some transfer players.

Players to look out for are QB Luke Weaver, WR Joey Farthing, DL Carsen Stocklinski, S Tim Malo, LB Giovanni Iovino, S Riis Weber

Offense -
RB - Landon Sims

Defense -
DE - Jackie Johnson III

When I saw RB Landon Sims I immediately thought of Travis Sims, and sure enough he's the son of Travis. Travis was a beast of a runner for Hawaii in 1992, with 220 rushes for 1,498 yards and 9 TDs, an excellent 6.8 yards per rush. He also played some as a freshman and junior, finishing with 2,311 yards and a 6.3 average per carry.

His reward was to be completely ignored by the NFL. I checked Pro Football Reference and Sims has no stats, which means he didn't even get the time honored treatment given White RBs of being kicked from team to team for several years before being out of the league for good.

The best I could find was this short clip of the 1992 Holiday Bowl, in which Hawaii defeated Illinois 27-17. Sims had two TD runs in that game, shown near the end of the video, and 113 rushing yards. Hopefully Landon has a solid career and makes the NFL.
