2025-'26 NHL Season

"An honest dialogue about sports and race by definition will include negative observations about an individual or race, but if your objective is simply to attack a group of people go elsewhere."

That's the most important sentence from the guidelines. I don't think you're here simply to attack non-Whites, but you often come across as being more interested in denigrating blacks (or the archaic term "Negroes" some like to use), Jews, "mulattos," Indians, etc., and insulting them whenever possible, even when they're only peripherally involved at best to the subject you're posting about.

Is there anyone who isn't aware that America is fast becoming a non-White country, that there are countless millions of legal and illegal invaders, that black men are often seen with White women, that there are a helluva lot of Americans these days who are no longer purely White or have a non-White in their family through marriage, that Jews wield a hugely disproportionate amount of power compared to their numbers? We all know this, yet you seem to always want to interject the obvious, and do it in a way that to my eyes is often the equivalent of nails scratching a blackboard. This is supposed to be an outpost celebrating White athletes, not a place to lament the negative and the obvious all the time.

You do a lot of research, why not try sharing it more often in a straightforward manner without all the nastiness? I don't know who you're trying to recruit or convince, but truly being pro-White means respecting others while having pride in yourself. Of course there are many times where that respect isn't deserved and we often document it here, which is the important distinction mentioned above and which I've moderated consistently from the beginning.

Of course there are many times where that respect isn't deserved and we often document it here, which is the important distinction mentioned above and which I've moderated consistently from the beginning.

Again, all good points. And, once again, it's your site and I will try to do my best to respect your rules. If I go astray, I don't mind you pointing it out -- weather it's on the board or via private message.

But if you want some insights into why I post this way, I will, somewhat reluctantly, put it forth below:

Personally, as an innocent bystander I've been shot at by blacks (very likely within an inch or inches of my head) while riding in a car -- windows blown out all over. I had a gun pointed directly (about 3 feet away) at my head by a black thug, again as an innocent bystander. This came about when a black got into a "tiff" with a foolish Indian yelling "racial slurs", I just happened to be close by. This just scratches the surface, as to why I'm not a "big fan" of blacks. Worst part, is I never really resided near many blacks -- can't even begin to wonder how bad it for Whites in big or bigger cities.

I'm not too small or weak, so I never feared them or feared going into their areas -- which was a mistake! Eventually, I realized too many (a large majority) have no morals and don't fight fair. Or are simply incapable of acting civilly. Ask Austin Metcalf or Billy Schmidt? Without getting into details, let me say I can really, truly identify with Schmidt. But I survived; he did not! Nothing like going out to get "some fresh air" and (almost) getting your head blown-off or being shot, point-blank, in the chest, like Billy.

I won't even get deep into the topic regarding other groups ....

My point?

Perhaps some us have a reason to be more bitter than others? Therefore, sometimes it's hard to control those feelings and it seeps out into our posting (even subconsciously?) on various boards or social media places. I have no shame in my posts, because I'm posting my true feelings -- your experience with blacks and others might be much more cordial over time.

But, again, it's your site and I really want to respect that. Because any "intelligent person" would! You pay the bills; we follow your rules -- sounds fair enough.

It’s a bit wild, but not unexpected, that NHL.com felt the need to feature an article chronicling every single non-White drafted. Even to the point of counting guys like McKenna and others who would be viewed as White by 99% of people who watch him play. It’s stupid to say at this point, but always worth mentioning until it changes, but the NBA or NFL will not chronicle the Whites and other non-blacks who would make their drafts “diverse”. Only we do that, and most people would consider us “racist” for doing so. NHL.com will not be chastised.

Excellent points, Freethinker. I first recognized the site/blog, "The Color of Hockey", well over a decade ago while surfing the Net. It's run by a middle-aged black man who is, apparently, a big hockey fan. It covers all rungs of hockey, from juniors, college, all the way up to the AHL and NHL. I assume they do dozens of features per year for NHL.com?

They also cover female hockey extensively, which mostly features black, Canadian women, I believe? I assume, for quite a while, it was probably a fairly low traffic, niche blog. That's until Douglas' articles started to be regularly re-posted (front page, top left photo link) at NHL.com.

Any of us would be absolute hypocrites to begrudge Douglas for doing that site. He has an inherent right to root for whoever he wants and to post whatever he wants. Can anyone here refute that?

Only question, is when will NFL.com, NBA.com and other sites start posting/linking features from Castefootball? In particular, I'd love to see ESPN.com or NBCSports.com (or both) give front page space to Phall's annual, in-depth, Michigan Wolverines pre-season football peek!

Here's is what I found via a Net search.

"The Color of Hockey" is a blog and podcast created by journalist William G. Douglas that chronicles the history and growing impact of people of color in ice hockey. It primarily features stories highlighting Black, Indigenous, Asian, and other underrepresented players....

Blog: Read the official features and articles on NHL.com or the Color of Hockey WordPress Blog.

Would you like help finding a specific "Color of Hockey" article, or are you looking for other hockey diversity initiatives like the Black Girl Hockey Club?
"The Color of Hockey" first appeared on NHL.com in March 2019, shortly after journalist and blogger William Douglas joined the website's staff. The blog itself was created earlier, in 2012, and remains a regular NHL.com feature.
