Since 2006 Virginia has started 4, 8, 8, 8, 9, 8, 10, 9, 7, 9, 7, 6, 6, 6, 7, 4, 7, and 7 white athletes. This year they regress back to 6. Coach Tony Elliott and former Clemson OC looks to improve on back-to-back 3-win seasons. They were 3-9 in 2023.
I really want to pull for Virginia as I have met Elliott on a few occasions when he was Clemson's RB's coach and seems to be fair and Virginia like so many colleges here in the Carolina's is a top academic school, but I wish he would try and reach out to a few more white players as his tenure continues. Six wins in the last two seasons won't cut it for long in Charlottesville.

True sophomore QB Anthony Colandrea who started 8 games last season returns as the starter with GRTR Tony Muskett close behind as the backup.
GRTR Sage Ennis from Clemson will get the start at TE along with 3 white OL for a total of 5 white starters on offense.
Notable RB backup Jack Griese is the grandson of Dolphins legend QB Bob Griese. Griese is listed 4th on the RB depth chart.

Defensively Virginia will start lone whitey LB James Jackson. He is backed up by another honkey Trey McDonald.
