Since 2007 North Carolina Tarheels have started 8, 5, 7, 4, 5, 4, 3, 6, 8, 10, 6, 4, 5, 5, 4, and 5 white athletes. This year they are projected to start a 10 year low of 3.
Just 7 years ago there was some promise in Chapel Hill with 10 white starters, but now it looks as if they have plummeted down a deep black hole.
Promising QB recruit Tad Hudson has transferred to Coastal Carolina, but Texas A&M transfer Max Johnson will start a QB and TE John Copenhaver will return to start. The only other projected white starter will be GRTR C-Austin Blaske
On defense former FS Will Hardy has been regulated to second team. Hopefully he'll work his way back into the starting lineup before he graduates in 2026. Also look for promising young players Beau Atkinson at DE and Caleb LaVallee at LB to get playing time. Both are on second team.
