It's week 5 already in the NFL and starting off the week is the Thursday night matchup between the Buccaneers and the Falcons. For a Thursday night game it's not a bad matchup. We've got two excellent white signal-callers in Kirk Cousins and Baker Mayfield which in itself is a good reason to watch.

Falcons feature an offensive line 1 short of a snow plow. It's one of the best in the league for reasons that no GM or staff can figure out. Falcons also have a couple of very good LB's starting.

O-line is 4 of 5 for the Bucs as well, along with Cade Otten starting at TE. A couple of rotational guys on defense is all that is on that side of the ball. Greg Gaines is very active in the middle when he's allowed to play.

Unfortunately Troy Andersen is out with a knee injury after having a monster game last week.

JD Bertrand shown as a starter, replacing Anderson.

Per Ourlads…Three year starter. Team captain for two years. Lean frame with average length for the position. Has a very good football IQ and has been the leader of the Notre Dame defense. Highly productive linebacker with a nose for the football. Excels as a tackle to tackle player with read and react and a downhill burst. Works through blocks with patience to fit the right gap. He flashes quick hands to ward off blocks and not give a blocker his body. Decent short space agility to react to cutbacks. Fundamentally sound square up tackler inline and the alley he gathers and drives through ball carriers. Has been an effective blitzer inside, anticipating the snap and getting through a gap. Shows a closing burst in the backfield on run plays

Both opening drives were artful displays by the QB's. Very refreshing after some of the revolutionary QB play I've witnessed recently.

Cousins looking fantastic. It took him a while to get over his Achilles injury, meanwhile everyone from the DWFs to the hive mind media were writing him off and clamoring for Penix to take his place.

So far it's a rare entertaining Thursday night game. Both Mayfield and Cousins putting on great performances thus far.

Tampa coach challenges a play that will put them in a worse situation. Haven’t seen that before.

Baker with yet another fantastic TD pass on the move. Threaded the needle between two defenders with a perfect spiral. His 3rd of the half. He's having a sensational night thus far.
