The Giants have been a very anti-White organization since the days of GM Ernie Accorsi when they had the last starting White CB (hopefully that streak is ending this year) and also had Whites at WR and RB (occasionally). Since then, they have been a typical Caste Squad; White QB, some O-lineman, TE and maybe 1 linebacker (on a good year). Coming fresh of an all-black draft, year 3 of Schoen and Daboll can’t be much better, but they did add some free agents.

Total White Athletes on Roster (Starters in bold):
13 Whites total, with 6 starters. Grade: D-

QB - Daniel Jones, Drew Lock, Tommy DeVito
TE - Daniel Bellinger
G – Jon Runyan, Greg Van Roten, Jake Kubas
C - John Michael Schmitz

ILB - Micah McFadden, Ty Summers

K - Graham Gano
P - Jamie Gillan
LS - Casey Kreiter

IR – Gunner Olszewski (WR/PR), Chase Cota (WR), Austin Schlottmann (OL)
PS – Jimmy Morrissey (C), Cade Mays (G), Joel Wilson (TE), Casey Rogers (DL), Carter Coughlin (LB), Jude McAtamney (K)

This team improved a bit from last. Bellinger regained his starting role after last year’s flop Waller retired. The other added starter comes on the offensive line, otherwise this team is very similar to last year.

The most compelling player on this squad is Daniel Jones. After coming into last season with fan support and high expectations, Jones sh1t the bed and then was injured. He’s back to the fans and media writing him off so hopefully he’ll kick the rust and prove himself once more. At his finest, Jones is a poor man's Josh Allen. An efficient passer and dynamic runner, but I wonder if he’ll be limited in that regard this year. Drew Lock replaces Tire-rod Taylor as the primary backup, so yay to that. Local folk hero Tommy ‘Cutlets’ is on as the 3rd stringer. If Jones struggles or is injured again, expect the fanbase to loudly call for Tommy. Bellinger had a very good rookie year for a TE but was still displaced. The early retirement of Waller gets him his job back so I hope he can really make a big leap in year 3. Unless injuries strike, Bellinger is likely the only White man catching passes this year as Gunner O will handle kick and punt returns. He’s one of the best and always a threat to take one to the house. Hopefully he stays healthy, one of his career bugaboos. 1 of the biggest offseason signings was new starting LG Jon Runyan. He’s in his prime so hopefully him and starting center Schmitz bolster the interior of the Giants’ line for years to come. Van Roten is the other new starting guard and a veteran presence. 1st round bust Evan Neal has been bench, so hopefully with the new guys the Giants can finally “fix” there decade long horrible line and give Jones good protection for once.

On defense, the bright spot is McFadden who has established himself as a playmaker and tackling machine. Hopefully he’s a long-term starter at this point. Carter Coughlin is talented, but this coaching staff see him as nothing more than a WSTD. He seems to be comfortably on the team each year but with no real opportunity to play on defense.

The honeymoon with Daboll is over in New York so the team cannot afford another last place finish. Fatboy will definitely be on the hotseat if so.

Rumors are that Daniel Jones will be benched for the rest of the year to protect the Giants from his contract/risk of injury. Jones was the victim of poor caste team building more than anything. Despite the constant criticism from DWFs and the media I give him credit for remaining level headed and maintaining his cool.

I hope Daniel Jones gets a chance to start for a better team and show that the Giants organization was the problem, not him. Baker Mayfield did just that when he went to Tampa after Cleveland unceremoniously dumped him. His success in Tampa really rubbed it in the Browns' face.

The Giants organization was definitely the problem. Jones will likely be signed as a backup and have to work his way back to being a starter, if he ever gets that opportunity again. He took quite a beating in New York thanks to the team's perpetually awful offensive line. No question he can be the next Tannehill, Goff, Darnold, Mayfield, etc., who all had the talent and desperately needed a change of scenery away from QB killer organizations (except for Goff, whose relationship with McVay had gone sour).

Good points Don. White QBs have shown the resilience to bounce back after initially being labeled busts.

Lions would be a great spot for him right now. Jones could be serviceable in a key playoff game if Goff were to get injured.
