Since 2005, the Spartans have had 7, 5, 7, 10, 10, 10, 12, 8, 9, 8, 8, 10, 11, 11, 10, 11, 11, 7, and 4 white starters. In 2024 they start 5.

The darkening of this roster thanks to mel tucker is complete, however due to his lack of self control and overall perverted behavior former Oregon state coach Jonathan smith is now tasked with steering this mess of a team after tucker’s ignominious firing. While the spartans will be a better team this year for the sole fact that Jonathan smith is a much better coach than his predecessor this team won’t make any noise in a stacked big 10. Overhyped quota aiden chiles will be the qb and only one pale face to throw to in te jack velling. Another generically mediocre caste team not worth any of our time.
Offense-
LG- Luke Newman
C- Tanner Miller
RT- Ashton Lepo
TE- Jack Velling

Defense-
DT- Maverick Hansen

I think Johnathan Smith is a caste cuck head coach so there won't be any improvement at al during his tenure.

Linebacker Cal Haladay has led the Spartans in tackles in each of the last three seasons. Here's an excerpt from his laundry list of accomplishments:

Graduate fifth-year senior and three-year letterwinner has played in 41 career games for the Spartans, with 35 career starts at linebacker (12 in 2021, 11 in 2022, 12 in 2023) . . . ranks 18th in MSU history with 307 tackles (122 solo, 187 assists) . . . also has 21.5 tackles for loss (66 yards), 3.0 sacks (27 yards), three interceptions (110 return yards), two pass break-ups, three forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries . . . his three career defensive touchdowns are tied for the most in school history (interception returns vs. Indiana and Pitt in 2021; fumble return vs. Iowa in 2023) . . . has led the team in tackles the last three seasons . . . has 14 career games with double-digit tackles (four in 2021, seven in 2022, three in 2023) . . . chemistry major is a two-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree . . . has played a total of 2,362 snaps on defense and 351 plays on special teams throughout the course of his Spartan career . . . has earned All-Big Ten recognition three times in his career (honorable mention in 2021; second team in 2022; honorable mention in 2023) . . . led the Big Ten in tackles per game (10.0 avg.; 120 total) in 2022 . . . has been named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week twice in his career (both in 2022) . . . earned Freshman All-America honors in 2021 . . . was named 2021 Peach Bowl Defensive MVP.

I guess no spots are ever guaranteed, but it would be nuts if Haladay loses his starting gig to two transfer linebackers.

Defensive tackle Alex VanSumeren is someone I expected to be starting already. His brother Ben is still poking around the NFL after not really flourishing at either Michigan or Michigan State.
