Since entering the FBS in 2018, Liberty has started 8, 8, 6, 5, 4 and 4 white athletes. In 2024 the Flames are projected to once again start 4.
Players to watch out for are QB Ryan Burger, DE Grey Carroll, DT Mike Jarvis, WR Reese Smith
Interestingly enough their black quarterback did enter the transfer portal only to withdraw a few days later. He was originally part of the Tennessee Voluneteers but was arrested twice in his first semester on campus. Curious as to why he did not get any offers this past offseason.
