Since 2005, Georgia has started 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 6, 2, 8, 7, 8, 7, 4, 3, 3, 4 5 and 6. In 2024 the Bulldogs are projected to start 6.
The Bulldogs lost their CF stars to the NFL in Brock Bowers and Ladd McConkey but still have a decent (by caste standards) succession plan it seems. Hopefully we see Carson Beck, Chaz Chambliss and Dan Jackson continue into the NFL as well.
Carson Beck stepped into the starting role in 2023 and was stellar throwing for 3,941 yards 24 TDs and 5 INTs. He should be in the running for first QB off the board in 2025. WR London Humphreys transferred in from Vanderbilt was an SEC Freshman All American in 2023 so hopefully he emerges as a starter during the season. RB Cash Jones is talented but remains buried on the depth chart. TE Ben Yurosek transfers in from Stanford and might emerge as a top TE over the year. DB Jake Pope transfers over from Alabama and is listed as 2nd team strong safety. The Bulldogs also have an interesting RS freshman DL Clinton Barlow on the team. Much like Alabama their are White DBs, WRs and even a CB on the team. It's too bad these kids are resigned to playing within the caste system rather than transferring to other schools to get playing time.
QB Gunnar Stockton will hopefully take over the starting spot once Beck leaves for the NFL. Freshman QB Ryan Pugilisi is also extremely talented. Unfortunately Kirby Smart has brough in the NIL grifter Jaden Rashada who is now on his third team in a year.
