Since 2012, UMass has started 9, 8, 6, 6, 7, 10, 10, 4, 6, 2, and 8 white players. In 2023, they are projected to start just 5.

Head coach Don Brown was brought in last season to begin a reclamation project. He set the bar pretty low by going 1-11 without a conference affiliation. He brought in a pile of transfers this year, including a black/mystery black quarterback to supplant Brady Olson. The defensive roster is almost entirely black at this point; Brown amazingly recruited a whiter team at Michigan. The snowplow offensive line is an interesting footnote.

Redshirt freshman RB Jackson Paradis is a transfer from Buffalo but is low in the current pecking order.

Starters:
OT: Connor Vasher, Jonny Hassard
OG: Cole Garcia, Ethan Mottinger
OC: Josh Atwood

Backups:
QB: Brady Olson
RB: Jackson Paradis
OL: Brandon McKinnon, Wyatt Terlaak, Tyler Leinberger, Nick Lundeberg
TE: Gino Campiotti, Jackson Manning, Magnus Von Saldern

DT: Hugo Klages
LB: Tyler Martin

So much for Brown turning around the demographics and the fortune of this team. Another stinker of a team.

Yeah brought in 2 shite black quarterbacks.. Another 1-11 season on the way. Old man Brown will be canned.

Snowplow negated when you have a a guy named phonamaseh at QB lmao.

Funny to imagine: a white stud who is incredibly lean at a mere 6'0 but looks like Hercules... he shows up to the UMass weight room as a recruit and the quarterback sees him... says... "oh no... are you my new right tackle?"

It looks like UMass may be up a starter. Freshman LB Tyler Martin had 4 tackles against New Mexico State in the win.

I watched a bit of that game hoping to catch Paradis.
He’s buried, let’s see how things progress.
