Since 2006, San Diego State has started 12, 9, 9, 8, 11, 12, 10, 10, 7, 8 , 10, 9, 7, 7, 9, 7 and 7 white players. This year is 8.

Year in and year out, San Diego State seems to have a consistent roster composition, with a decent amount of white players/starters, almost always exclusively in the form of white TEs, DEs, and LBs. 6/6 of the TEs on the roster are white. They also consistently seem to get these position groups into the NFL. This year looks like no exception, with 8 starters for the Aztecs, even with only 2/5 of the OL and no QB. Both TEs are studs. Kyle Crum is the back up QB as an underclassmen but it's currently otherwise a pretty dark QB room. I personally think New Mexico transfer LB Cody Moon could be a good one. Walk on RS Freshman WR Mikey Welsh was one of the top spring standouts. He is currently third string but should factor into the future.

Offense -
TE - Mark Redman
TE - Cameron Harpole
LG - Cade Bennett
C - Thomas Mirabella

Defense -
DE - Wyatt Draeger *in a battle for position
DE - Garret Fountin
LB - Cooper McDonald
LB - Brady Anderson or Cody Moon

Key back ups include QB Kyle Crum, WR Mikey Welsh, TE Jay Rudolph, TE Gus McGee, LG Ryan Dirksen, C Dean Abdullah, and LB DJ Herman.

Another nice write up HD! Nice to continue seeing the Aztecs respectable Front 7 on Defense caste-wise

Agreed! LB Cody Moon is one to watch! He is a Pre- season 1st-team all-Mountain West Former WALK ON of course was a difference maker at New Mexico.

Here is last season playing against his future new team
