I always wonder about the character and mindset of the lonely white guys on defense. Do they ever start to feel secretly inadequate? Do they get an ego boost for being included with the black guys who have the super-powers? Might they resent other whites who aren't "elite" athletes in this club? Any of these mindsets are psychologically damaging and also will inform other aspects of their lives, including where they live and who they vote for (lol voting is very fake at this point).

It's tragic that there are no D1 programs that could be a "two-star posse" of ignored white athletes. You could get plenty of buy-in from the players, fans, and technically media (if the narrative held), but this just simply isn't allowed.

The hurdles to be overcome to accomplish this are just too great. Kinda like Evel Knievel trying to jump Snake Canyon. A school like James Madison would be a perfect test bed if it could be done. First they would need a dedicated and large scouting team who would have to scour high school team footage to find the players. The scouting "services" don't bother looking at most white players, star ratings for palefaces are few and far between. Then after that Herculean task, they would have to invite and recruit all of these "no names". The howls from the alumni, students and media would be deafening. Right about here the entire staff would be on the unemployment line.

But there are a lot of winning white high school programs. You’d think some coach at a low ranking program like this could take a chance on the ignored talent out there. I mean if the guys on this site can identify good white players shouldn’t coaches paid more than university presidents be able to?
