Since 2006 Oklahoma has started 3, 5, 6, 7, 5, 6, 4, 3,3, 3, 5, 4, 3, 3, 2, and 3. In 2022 they look to be at 5.
Oklahoma is trending in the right direction, especially if Stoops can become a full time starter at slot. Cal transfer McKade Mettauer will step right into the starting job at LG and he should be an NFL draft pick.
I mentioned Ethan Downs and Danny Stutsman in last years write up and they both should be starters as true sophomores in 2022. Both of these guys have NFL size already and could both be draft picks in a few years. Hyped freshman Jaren Kanak is in line, he should see backup snaps this year. Backup LB TD Roof is the son of the defensive coordinator, he may see some snaps too.
OFFENSE
WR Drake Stoops (SR) *position battle*
LG McKade Mettauer (JR)
C Andrew Raym (JR)
DEFENSE
DE Ethan Downs (SO)
LB Danny Stutsman (SO)
Players to watch:
QB Davis Beville, QB General Booty, TE Jason Llewelyn, OL Robert Congel, OL Kyle Ergenbright, LB TD Roof, LB Jaren Kanak
