I don't think anyone here mentioned that Pat Connaughton decided to return to Milwaukee for his last year. So next year he will be a free agent. He will be 3o or 31 then so I don't know how many teams will be interested. Time will tell.

Some more good news. The Denver Nuggets have signed Collin Gillespie to a two way contract.

All Collin Gillespie did was lead his college team to three Final Fours in his college career. Yet he went undrafted. He also won the Bob Cousy Award as the top collegiate point guard in the nation. Hope the Nuggets can keep him on the roster in the fall.

He to me is a bigger version of TJ McConnell and I have no doubts he has nba talent.

Excited for Denver next year. Braun and Gillespie are great additions for Jokic!

In their first game of the NBA Summer League both Christian Braun and Collin Gillespie started. They lost a close game to the Twolves but they both did pretty good. Braun had an amazing put back slam dunk off a rebound and
he just looks like he was born to play in the big time. :)

Christian Braun 18 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal.
Collin Gillespie 11 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 steals and 1 blocked shot!

Lots of dunks for Braun! It looks like he is playing with more confidence in the nba summer league than he did in college. Self must have had him on a leash to appease the brothas.

Since Slam Dunking Christian Braun is playing in the Mile High City of Denver, wouldn't it be great to see him entered in the 2023 NBA Slam Dunk Contest. The kid just jumps like a gazelle. So effortless and graceful while so explosive. The kid
can jump out of the gym to go along with being able to create his own shot inside or outside. Combine that with stellar defense and he just may crack the starting lineup sooner rather than later!

Frank Kaminsky signs a deal with the Atlanta Hawks. Since Danillo Gallinari has moved on to another team hopefully Kaminsky can get some quality minutes.

Could his racial apprenticeship finally be over? I think he's finally in the right spot to at least be a factor in rotation off the bench. Is Huerter still there?

No. Kevin Huerter is now a Sacramento King. At least he will join Sabonis. So they should have 2 of our guys starting. The Kings haven't made the playoofs in forever so maybe it's a good spot for both of these guys to
become the faces of the franchise.

Danilo Gallinari has signed a 2 year deal with the Boston Celtics. He has been such a great player for well over a decade. I'm hoping he can stay healthy. He has scored over 11,000 points in his career so far. Very productive for a guy that was never considered a star and hasn't started in a long time. So off the bench he gets it done.

Mac McClung played his second game in a row for the Golden State Warriors. How did he do you ask? Well he lead them a hard fought victory.

McClung had 22 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 steals. The crowd loves him everywhere he plays yet this stupid NBA just don't want to sign him to a team. It's not because he doens't have the talent. The kid was
the NBA G League MVP last year yet his phone never rings. He is forced to play where ever they allow him and no matter what he does he has the dreaded white skin disease. I've always said they hate athletic white guys
that can jump out of gym. Remember he broke Allen Iversons All Time Scoring Record in High School. Either way nobody wants him. Teams should be blowing up his phone. He has nba starter talent day one.

So will any team sign him to a normal contract or will he have to eventually go play in Europe. This country disgusts me in so many ways. White Athletes need not apply. Your not wanted in the USSA..

In the NBA Summer League one of the biggest stars has been Sandro Mamukelashvili for the Bucks. He is averaging 21 points per game! With that type of play maybe they can make room for him on their roster.

Colin Gillespie and Christian Braun looking good for the Nuggets. Hopefully they both make the team and find a role with Jokic.

They both look great but according to the announcers and coaching staff the team is so deep with injured players returning they will be lucky to get any minutes. Hope they are wrong. Both of these guys
have so much talent and they can help to take some of the pressure of Nikola Jokic.

don’t know which thread to put this in, because i quit following the nba years ago ...

Tommy Kuhse, a point guard for the Saint Mary’s Gaels (the same school that produced point guards Matthew Dellavedova and Patty Mills), has been absolutely shredding the summer league competition. a short, White, former walk-on, Kuhse was obviously undrafted, but he has looked to clearly belong on an nba roster.

for you guys who follow the association, he’s a name to keep an eye out for.

The Bucks will probably sign him.

Here is how a typical NBA scout watches a March Madness game. They find a tall, young black man, follow him back into the locker room, and _______________.

Brady Manek, a 6’9 5th yr senior, averaged 18 and 8 during North Carolina’s tournament run to the title game. Manek did not even get a two-way contract to play in the G League and is playing for the “local” Charlotte Hornets summer league team as a very fringe tryout candidate.

Peyton Watson, a freshman from UCLA, was drafted #47 overall by the Denver Nuggets, who are in “win now” mode with the most expensive player in the history of the league. Maybe his “upside” will turn him into a 19 and 9 player! Here is Watson’s stat line from UCLA’s Sweet Sixteen loss:

Here are a couple of complimentary articles about Manek’s skill set:
