2022 Dallas Cowboys "Pre"view
Mike McCarthy's Dallas squad's season took a strange turn when QB Dak Prescott was lost to a hand injury in week one. Cooper Rush looked comfortable in his place, and will hope to direct the Cowboys back towards the playoffs.

Total White players on 53-man roster: 13*
Total White starters: 6*
Starters listed in bold.

OFFENSE
QB: Cooper Rush*
TE: Dalton Schultz, Jake Ferguson, Peyton Hendershot
C: Tyler Biadasz, Matt Farniok
G: Connor McGovern, Zack Martin
T: Josh Ball

DEFENSE
LB: Leighton Vander Esch, Luke Gifford

SPECIALISTS
K: Brett Maher
P: Bryan Anger
LS: ???**

INJURED RESERVE
TE: Ian Bunting

PRACTICE SQUAD
QB: Will Grier
C: Alec Lindstrom
TE: Sean McKeon
T: Dakota Shepley

*Rush is currently starting for the injured Prescott.
**Dallas does not currently show a long snapper on their public roster. I believed it to be Jake McQuaid, but I am not aware of his current situation or if he is injured. Total number of White players on the roster could likely be 14, for whatever that's worth.

Save the current quarterback situation, Dallas looks virtually as same as ever; a fairly White o-line room and not much elsewhere. QB Cooper Rush did not miss a beat stepping in to run the offense in place of Prescott in Week 2, leading Dallas to a win over Cincinnati. He went 19/31 for 235 yards and a TD. Look for him to be a steady steward of this offense moving forward (minus Prescott's massive contract). Seven-time Pro Bowler and five-time All-Pro Zack Martin is back for his age 32 season. A member of the HOF's "All-2010s Team", he's still one of the best in the business. He's joined by fellow veteran Connor McGovern and 2020 fourth-rounder Tyler Biadasz. Dalton Schultz is a great playmaker to have at TE, coming off an 808-yard 8-TD season in 2021. Ferguson and Hendershot are backups and special teams contributors.

Leighton Vander Esch has battled injuries regularly in his career, though it started well with a 2018 Pro-Bowl nod. There's no doubt he's one of the most athletic, dynamic linebackers in the league when he's on the field. Here's hoping he can avoid injuries of the chronic variety and show off his skill over a full 17-game NFL season. Luke Gifford is buried on the depth chart and is strictly a special-teamer.

Former West Virginia star Will Grier curiously remains on the practice squad, though that's likely only until Dallas exhausts all three of his practice squad "elevations"; Rush is currently the only healthy QB on the active roster. He'll back up Rush for the time being. Sean McKeon has four career receptions, though one for a touchdown. Shepley and Lindstrom are reserve linemen.

Good write up. From what I could find, McQuaid is the LS.

The Cowboys have a WR who is has a Poly dad and a White mom. I'm not saying to root for this guy as a White athlete but he could be considered a Caste Buster by some.
