The 2022 Bills led by an elite dual threat quarterback are the favourites for the AFC east and maybe the AFC champions.

Let's take a look at the 53 and see what they look like for this year.

6 starters for the Bills with 17 on the roster.

Before starting this write up, I was thinking the Bills had more white players than this! Just shows how Josh Allen being the face of the franchise and a top 5 in the league at the position can make the difference in perspective.

Along with Josh Allen, Case Keenum is a very good back up with good starting experience.

At wide reciever Jake Kumerow is buried on the depth chart but survived the cut. Will see if he can break the rotation.

Dawson Knox is a solid starting tight end who had 9 touchdowns last year with 587 yards on 49 targets. Also amongst tight end room is Tommy Sweeney who doesn't see many targets.

Mitch Morse is an elite centre for Josh Allen one of the top players at that position in 2022. Ryan Bates who has been with them since 2019 starts at Right guard and Spencer Brown 2021 3rd round pick starts at right tackle. Three backs up are white aswell on the oline.

Defense from a caste perspective is all about Tackling machine Matt Milano at starting linebacker. Baylon Spector from Clemson looks every bit an NFL player and backs up Milano. Tyler Matakevich is an excellent special teamer at linebacker but sees hardly any snaps on defense.

Josh Allen makes them a fun team to watch but not a caste buster team by any measure.

Still going to be a must watch with Allen but losing Beasley and some of those guys on the defensive line (Phillips and Zimmer) make this squad "run of the mill" instead of one to root for.

With Crowder about to be put on IR and McKenzie in concussion protocol, Jake Kumerow had perhaps his first real opportunity at extensive playing time in the NFL even though those two are slot receivers, but of course he's nursing an ankle injury and can't take advantage of it. Gotta be supremely frustrating for him, because it's frustrating as hell for those of us who root for deserving underdogs who have to fight the odds over and over and over. . .

Matt Araiza, the “Punt God” from San Diego State, has a new lease on life. He will not face any criminal charges. He was cut during preseason after an allegation he was involved in a “gang rape” of a 17 year old in 2021. Araiza was 21 at the time, and the potential charge was statutory rape because California’s age of consent is 18. The only conservative law in an otherwise liberal state. By comparison, Oklahoma’s age of consent is 16. Anyway, Araiza is the only punter that I ever paid attention. He was a freak athlete who kicked and punted absolute bombs. Maybe he was a total dirtbag, or maybe just a horny college student. Either way, it would have been an injustice to see his entire life and career derailed by a drunken escapade. I will wait and see if he ever gets another opportunity in the NFL.

Not really crazy about this but the Bills can and will get to the Super Bowl in my humble opinion. They are so overdue!

NFL OK's plan for neutral-site AFC championship

NFL owners have approved a plan that leaves open the possibility of a neutral-site AFC Championship Game and could determine home field for a wild-card game between the Bengals and Ravens by a coin flip.

Thanks for posting that WL. We'll see how things work out. I know teams like to be at home in the playoffs but it seems as fair as it can be so it is what it is.
