An interesting worldwide indoor sprints stat as of today.
Kevin Kranz of Germany is the 2nd fastest 60 meter sprinter on earth in 2021. US Sprinter Devin Quinn isn't far behind and is in the top 5 sprinters on earth over 60 meters.
US Sprinter Matthew Boling is the fastest sprinter on earth also for 2021 over 200 meters.
How can this be possible as we are told whites cannot compete? All a bunch of stereotypical b.s. I've said for decades that whites should be in all the major sports at a much
higher level and even in the track world if it wasn't due to stereotypes and reverse racism which I just call racism. White Athletes are held down by everyone yet we still find
success against all of the odds! Good luck to all of our men and women as the battle stereotypes on and off the track & courts or fields that they play on.

a new name (at least to me) that emerged at the SEC Indoor Championships yesterday was Ole Miss senior Elijah Dryer. despite setting PBs in both the 60m and 200m, he just narrowly missed out qualifying for the final in both events. the 60m was especially tight, with less than a tenth of a second separating the #2 through #11 times. (he was also the fastest non-qualifier in the 200.)
i hope to see more of him in the pro ranks, because it looks like he is still improving.
as an aside, how is it possible the fastest athlete at Ole Miss is a White man, when the football team is overwhelmingly black because “dat speed?”

a quick follow up regarding the SEC Indoor Championships, Kristoffer Hari, now a senior at the University of Arkansas, is in the final for the 60m today, so hopefully he turns in an excellent performance though he was well off his personal-best in the heats.
Abby Steiner is a favorite to medal in both the 60m and 200m finals. what a talent she is!

Also at the ACC Champs, sprinter Cole Beck has qualified for the finals of the 60 & 200 meters.

Yes, JC was going through the SEC times yesterday and saw Dryer. Was going to mention Steiner as well.
Someone please post the results from the SEC as soon as you can from Boling's 200m and Steiner's 60 and 200 as well.

Yes he did. If fact he had to compete in the 200 meters just 15 minutes after the long jump ended. So he ran a 20.37 indoors on tired legs with some lactic acid build up. Simply amazing. If you
rewatch the video of his 20.37 race a few posts above, the announcers even pointed this out how he had almost zero rest. The kid is a genetic freak yet humble and nice as a chuch choir boy.

He finished 2nd but was disqualified for stepping out of his lane so it will not count. Such a shame. It looked like nerves as he was all over his
lane and clearly did step out of his lane on the final curve. His form was so different and choppy compared to yesterday. Oh well. He is still only a sophmore. Here
is the video so you can see what happened yourself. This loss will humble him and it's actually good for him to keep him working & training hard.

I'm glad he made the finals and finished in the top 3 but to be honest Hari has not come close to living up to the hype of what many thought he was capable of including myself. I don't want to be to hard on the
kid as he is a very gifted person academically. The kid is very smart but his athletic genes were what made many think he was headed for stardom. He was running 10.30's times as a young teenager. Maybe the
move to the US and college just changed his priorities. He is still fun to watch and I'm sure he still trains hard. I just am a little disapointed he didn't achieve more like we thought he might be able to.

It looked to me like when he was coming out of the turn he knew he was getting too close to the line and tried to adjust and almost looks like he lost his balance/rhythm and it slowed him down trying to stay in his lane. The kid from LSU ran a good race, but I think Boling was closing. Unfortunate for him. I guess there's an indoor Nationals soon? Hopefully, he'll adjust and do better then.
Question? How much indoor experience has Boling had? I wonder how many indoor meets he ran in HS?

Abby Steiner took 4th in the 60m and cruised for the win in the 200m. she’s the force to be reckoned with at that distance. it would be cool to see her go head-to-head with Prandini.

also in the video, Boling runs the opening leg for Georgia in 45.18 to blow away the field before his teammates give up the lead.
as an aside, i didn’t realize how many White 400m-capable runners there were even in the afrocentric SEC.

That 200 meters win by Abby Steiner set a new SEC Indoors 200 Meters Championship Record. Steiner already had the old record. It was also the 3rd fastest 200 meters indoors ever in college by any female. I think at this point Abby Steiner should
be getting more credit than Boling. She has already won gold medals and broke records. I love Boling and he will be great but let's give Abby Steiner the same applause. Outstanding performance.

The coach in me is screaming at Steiner "use those elbows"!! Her arm swing is not the greatest and is actually slowing her down as each swing pulls her shoulders in a slight backward motion. Other than that I believe she is meant for the 200m and I can see her doing very well in the future with some technical corrections. She will need to get her times outdoors below 22.10 to be able to compete with the big girls.
I heard her in an interview say that she has dropped soccer to focus on track.
She's a great talent! . . . but she does need to improve her arms technique.
