Jenna Prandini was the 2nd fastest qualifier in the 200m heats, with a great time of 22.14.
That bodes very well for her chances to make the team in this event.

Claire Bryant makes it to the LJ final with a 6.29m and two nm.
David Kendziera is into the semi of the 400h with the fourth best qualifier. He has a shot at an Olympic Berth.
The fantastic high school 800m runner Roisin Willis is through to the women’s semifinals. She is an amazing talent who has an amateur gait but turns in the results. (Thanks to Sprintstar for the video of her)

Jenna looks to be in great form.She should make the team in the 200m and challenge for a medal.

Roisin Willis going into the 800m semifinals sees 14 pros/ 1 NCAA and her as a grade 11 student. Amazing.

Actually it was a minor improvement (2/100s) of her PB.
But obviously she is ready for a major improvement of her PB!

In addition the the US Olympic Trials we have mulitple European Nations with their Nat'l Champs all going on this weekend. A few are Spain, England, Poland and France. There might be others.

I'm excited about the British Champs as we have Amy Hunt in the 200 meters along with a few other female sprinters not to mention the 800 meters and up events. In the mens sprints England has alot
of white sprinters. It should be fun to watch. One really sad note is it seems like
Richard Kilty has retired. He is not entered for the first time in a decade. I will miss watching the "Teaside Tornado". Kilty won the World Indoor 60 meters Championship many years back and also
had a p.b. of 10.01! Richard Kilty had a very nice career. So explosive with a 6.49 p.b. in the 60 meters. He just didn't have the top end speed needed but he sure was close.

Even Christophe Lemaitre is not in either the 100 or 200 meters in the French Championships. I will miss seeing "PepeLeFlew" as he will always be the sprinter that changed everything. Yes he could have
achieved so much more but he is still a legend. Personal Bests times wind legal of 9.92 and 19.80! Incredible times and at such a young age. Will miss watching him but thanks for the memories!

Ato was right - after her very good 100 she sucked in confidence and took it into that 200 - Wow, with that easing up 20 metres out she may have touched 22 flat if pushed and dipping in a bigger race.
Good luck to Richard Kilty - he's given his all and nearing 32 he deserves to let his body rest up a little. He's been exciting to watch and his commitment unquestionable - will be remembered as a top notch sprinter and athlete.
As for Christophe, I hope he continues to enjoy his club running where pressure is off and he's just doing something he enjoys and is very good at. He's 31 now - I'd love to see him appear in Masters track in a few years time.
Both he and Richard have given us all here much to enjoy! Here's to them.

The only one with any chance is Boling but I love both Quinn and Schurr entering it. Why not try? You have nothing to lose. Man like I've said many times before, Schurr has the
swagger of a man as a high school kid. That confidence combined with his talent will take him far in athletics. Can't wait to watch this live! Thanks for the update jacknyc.

Another day (or night, actually), another sweep by three beauties. This time in the US Women's Championship, where the fabulous Emma Coburn led Courtney Frerichs and profile-in-determination Val Constien across the line. Outside the sprints (and the women's 800), this has been the best US championship I can remember in decades.

Hobbs Kessling looked very very good in winning his heat in the 1500m, he is only 18 and is going to get even faster. He has a faster PB than the NCAA div 1 record set by Nagoose.

Filippo Tortu is not participating in the Italian Championships. So his season is effectively over.

Boling has the 9th fastest time 20.47 and qualifies for the next round. I hope Prandini breaks 22.00 today.

Trey Cunningham ran a 13.23 p.b. to make the second round of the 110 Hurdles. Devon Allen also advanced with a 13.25!

In the mens long jump Corey Crawford qualified in the mens long jump!

Well, at least Tortu broke 10.00 before he got washed up. I guess Italy is OK with some black guy from El Paso Texas (Jacobs) representing them. Jacobs holds their national record in the 100 meter sprint at 9.95. What a joke.

I gotta say, I am really black pilled on this season. Our white sprinters need to go and train in Japan, or somewhere where they know what they are doing.

Not a track fan, but watched some of the NCAA and now the Olympic trials, due to the hype on this forum. I’ve been really impressed with Cole Hocker. Also, Jenna Prandini looks amazing and just easily smoked a gang of negresses in the 200.

Jenna did that with ease. She still has a lot more to give. She was looking around at the end. This girl really peaked well for this meet.

Prandini looks to be in the best shape of he entire athletics career. Love how easily she won the quarter and semi finals. My only thing I would tell her is to shut it down sooner. Save everything for the final. It would
really suck if she were to lose a close final because she put too much energy into the first two races. It's hard to imagine that happening though. If she doesn't win or finish in the top 2 in the finals I will be shocked. I
want her to win it and make a statement with around a 21.90 or lower! Can't wait for tommorow. Good Luck to Jenna Prandini.
