1. Oosthuizen -6. Crazy this guy has only won once on The PGA Tour. British Open Champion 2010
T2. Spieth -5. Spieth again in contention for a fourth Major, second Open?
T2. Harman -5 . Little lefty. Only two left handers have ever won The British Open
T4. Hughes -4
T4. Frittelli -4
T4. Cink -4. Cink won the 2009 Open and has placed third in the other three Majors. Has won twice this year.
T4. Hebert -4
T4. Simpson -4. Former US Open Champion looking for a second Major
T9 . Rose -3. Rose needs a good finish. Currently on the Fedex cut line at number 125.
T19. D. Johnson -2. World Number one in contention for a third Major.
T19. Garcia -2. Hard to believe Garcia with only one Major, the Masters Champion in 2017.
T32. Koepka -1. Four time Major winner in contention
T32 Fowler -1. Good to see Fowler playing better.
T48 McIlroy E. It's been seven years since his last major. Looking for a fifth
T155 Mickelson +10. There will be no PGA repeat for Phil. I was looking forward to watching him on the weekend.

Second round leaders:
1. Oosthuizen -11. Other than the one bogey at 16, Oosthuizen, the South African looked like a machine during the second round. Still wondering how he's only won once on the PGA Tour?
2. Morikawa -9. Japanese American looking for his second Major after winning the 2020 PGA.
3. Spieth -8. Started fast yesterday by birding the first two holes, but had two bogeys and a couple of missed birdy putts puts him three back, but still in contention for a fourth Major.
T.4 Frittelli -7.
T. 4 D. Johnson -7. World number one making a move for a third Major.
T. 4 Scheffler -7
I look for the eventual winner to come from one of the above, but who knows what could happen today and down the stretch tomorrow.
Brooks Koepka is tied for 12th at -5 and so is John Rahm, so they could possibly make a run as well. Should be an interesting weekend.

Collin Morikawa and Jordan Spieth are mano a mano down the back half of the back nine. Morikawa is playing great and breezed past Oosthuizen and has a two shot lead, but Jordan is also playing great and is keeping the heat on.

Japanese-American Collin Morikawa wins, becoming the first golfer ever to win two different majors the first time he played in them. It was well deserved as he made no mistakes under intense pressure, constantly doing it the old school way, often using three wood to make sure he hit the fairway and then hitting great iron shots onto the tricky links greens and his putting was also topnotch. Morikawa is just 24 and is now a superstar of the sport. The test now will be to see if he has staying power.

Spieth gave him a run for his money. Jordan would love to re-play 17 and 18 from the third round, when he should have finished birdie par, but instead went bogey bogey when his putter failed him. But Jordan is definitely back and was stalking Morikawa all round, great to see.

Now comes the Olympics and then the FedEx Cup playoffs before golf pretty much winds down until early '22.

Sadly. Louis for all his quality can't be trusted to see out a final day major .

I'm aware he has done it, but he's put himself in positions were he should have at least that second major.

Morikawa is going to win more majors . From his playoff win against Thomas on the PGA(can't remember the event) to his first major win and now a brilliant display at the open, he's shown he has something about him .

Speith is trending in the right direction, but he still has a silly mistake or two in him. Which seems to be one of two things .

Losing a drive right
Missing a short Putt.

I believe he will still win multiple more majors.
