Since 2007 Auburn has started 4, 6, 5, 4, 6, 6, 5, 2, 4, 5, 7, 6, 3 and 4 whites. They are projected to start 3 in 2021.
Gus Malzahn was fired - his unimaginative, horizontal offense became predictable. In comes Bryan Harsin who did a stellar job at Boise St in entrenching the caste system after Chris Petersen's departure. Along with Harsin comes caste retread and mediocre offensive mind Mike Bobo (terrible at South Carolina in the OC role). Bobo did a great job ignoring white athletes in Colorado during his stint as Colorado State's head coach. @Claimjumper has done a nice job documenting this.
Auburn is heavily caste and predictable so. They have been one of the most consistent caste teams over the years that CF has tracked white starters. The most laughable part of this write-up is that QB Bo Nix who played very well these past 2 years is now in a QB competition with an LSU black quarterback transfer who failed miserably last year. Nix is a very good QB, dual threat so hopefully he gets the job although his white skin is now viewed as a hindrance.
Players to watch: OT Austin Troxell, OT Killian Zierer, C Tate Johnson, OT Brenden Coffey, TE Tyler Fromm, LB Bartson Lester
OFFENSE:
QB Bo Nix ** position battle with a black quarterback
TE John Samuel Shenker
C Nick Brahms
DEFENSE:
None
