This week we have the AT&T Byron Nelson Tournament. The final tune up before the PGA Championship. Pretty good field. However; World Number 1 Dustin Johnson has withdrawn from the tournament and may be in doubt for next weeks PGA. Some of the top names include:
Bryson DeChambeau
John Rahm
Brooks Koepka
Hideki Matsuyama, Masters Champion
Sergio Garcia
Jordan Spieth coming off a bout with Covid, so unsure how he'll perform. Third in the Masters.
Jason Day, has fallen to number 59 in the world.
Rickie Fowler, has fallen to 116th in the world. Missed the cut last week in Charlotte.
Will Zalatoris, finished solo second the Masters.

Jordan Spieth shoots a first round 63 including a 55 foot bomb for eagle on number 18! He shares the first round lead with JJ Spaun. He stated that he was very tired during the round. His bout with Covid may hamper him this weekend. Hope he powers through it.
1. Spieth -9
1. Spaun -9
3. Cabrera Bello -8
3. Wise -8
3. Redman -8
6. Garcia -7
31. Fowler -5
53. Rahm -4
76. DeChambeau -3

Spieth had Covid? I’m surprised he’s still alive. They should probably shut the whole tournament down.

Looks like another great final round round on The PGA Tour leading up to next weeks second Major, The PGA Championship.
1. Burns -20. Young upstart looks for real!
2. Lee -19
3. Schwartzel -18
3. Kuchar -18. Kuch still performing well at 43.
3. Spieth -18. Had a chance to share the final round lead, however he bogeyed 15 and 16 to fall four back, than another bomb form 30 feet for eagle on 18 to get right back in the tournament. Spieth never gives up.
3. Noren.

I'll miss the final round tomorrow. I will be attending my daughter's graduation from Wake Forest. Could someone update the final. Don, I know you usually post on this forum... or anyone else. I would appreciate it.
Thank you

Just a heads up. The final round has already begun. They're expecting inclement weather in Texas today. Players will be in groups of three. The final group tees off at 9:01 am local time.
