Wth!! 7ft plus dude with a quicker release than Steph Curry!
LOL. i don’t know about that, but if my understanding is correct, he leads the NBA in 3-pt percentage. an impressive feat for such a big man.

Luka may be a bit chubby. Zion Williamson might eat himself out of the League! Reports are he's at 330. Loves frozen pizzas and sugary soda lol. He's only played in half of the game in his career.

Agreed... While Luka needs to drop 20-30 lbs, Zion needs to drop more like 100 lbs... but he won’t as he has always been fat. He will
Be out of the league in 3-4 years max.

Luka will be the best player in the league over the next half decade.

Max Strus continues to impress. There is no doubt in my mind he couldn't be at least as good as Kyle Lowry or other guards of similar size
and build. The kid can score from anywhere on the floor. Very athletic, good defender, excellent dribbler and a great shooter! Happy he is
playing some minutes even though it's not much. They need to find a way to play him a least 15 to 20 each night in a fair world.

Strus does impress indeed my friend!! He scored 25 against the bucks last Saturday but only played 19 minutes last night. The problem is that when Butler come back Herro, Strus, and Robinson all take minutes from one another. Butler is a great player (and good teammate to Herro and Strus) those minutes should come at the expense of Lowry. I wish the Mavs could swing a trade for Strus!

I agree on Luka he is way to smart to piss away a hall of frame career. As someone mentioned in a different post Nash was chunky and then went hall of fame. He does use his bulk to an advantage when he bully’s his way to the rim so he should convert some of that fat to muscle he has broad shoulders and wide frame.

10 years ago this month a thread was started here at CF for sudden Chinese-American sensation Jeremy Lin. The thread reached six pages. Stunningly, I've seen nothing here regarding the league's newest, sudden sensation. Someone who I probably should've started a new thread for -- he sure deserves one, if "Lin-Sanity" has one.

Did anyone realize that the Houston Rockets had a 15 game losing streak prior to their current 7 game winning streak?

What changed that? Was it the insertion into the starting lineup of a former Washington Wizards' "scrub", who was kicked to the curb in D.C. and eventually signed and quickly sacked by the NBA's odious Boston franchise, which now seems to be as openly hostile to whites as they've ever been? That's saying a lot, considering they've been very afro-centric since the days of Larry Bird and Red Auerbach in the early 1990's?

Rockets' newest star/fan favorite is referred to as "Garry Bird" and is serenaded with "MVP" chants every time he steps to the free throw line in Houston.

He's none other than potential "MVP candidate" Garrison Mathews, who (as noted above) was left out in the cold just a few ago by Washington and Boston. Both teams that replaced white head coaches with little known black head coaches this season. Luckily Houston's black head coach is giving him a chance. J.B . Bickerstaff also allowed Kelly Olynyk to thrive last spring. Kelly, unfortunately, absconded to the obscurity and disfunction in Detroit for a few extra shekels.

Last night, Garry Bird actually flaunted his defensive skills, holding James Harden to 4-16 shooting from the field, and humiliating him on defense on consecutive plays with amazing steals in the waning minutes of the 4th quarter.

Nice post, Truthteller. Although I’m familiar with Garrison Mathews, I was unaware that he was on the Rockets and having some success.. I’ll definitely keep an eye on him.

I had no idea as I haven't followed the Houston Rockets in a while. This is great news. Thanks for the info and the nice article to boot. Here's his picutre from last night.

Awesome to see Matthews reemerge! I was excited for both him and Fletcher Magee in that '19 Draft Class. Magee is in Europe, glad the lowly Rockets mixed it up and gave Whitey a chance!

Thanks for the reply and nice words, Icept, WL, Gring, Buck. Glad to bring this to your attention.

Last season Garry Bird was shooting a lot for Washington, doing a decent job from 3, but not filling the stats sheet -- too few rebounds, assists, ect. When Washington decided to not re-sign him (another team rapidly purging whites with a rookie black HC), I thought someone like Cleveland would add him to their 15 man roster pretty quickly.

Didn't happen, Cav's went with Kevin Pangos and others. Garry was (inexplicably) jobless all summer and only signed with Boston (along with Arcidiacono from Chicago) right before pre-season games. Garrison played well for Boston in pre-season games. Real well! Was cut anyway, along with Arcidiacono. Both were given the option to go to Boston's scrub affiliate in Maine on a two-way deal. Mathews left; Arci stayed on.

Here are Garrison's stat lines this season. Notice how Houston has won since he began getting starters minutes?

Hopefully it keeps up a bit longer. Bickerstaff has said great things about him, but a highly touted teenage rookie has been injured and could cut into his minutes when he comes back?

P.S:WLightning, nice photo. Notice how the black Rockets' fans are reacting to Garrison, in comparison to the white/Mexican fans? Black man, in particular, looks sullen!

Nice job hi-lighting my point Gringo, including the Karen reference. Perhaps she's actually a horrible, blonde "white supremist" who hates the NBA (doesn't want to be there) and is repulsed by Garry's tattoo sleeve? That's probably a long shot (joking), but....at least the other whites in the photo seemed happy?

I guess you can look at it two ways? Keep in mind, Garrison and some tall middle eastern rookie (Turkey) were the only two on the court last night that could be considered "white". Nets were all black!

First, whites can never make blacks happy. Even though they account for something like 13% of the population, they feel offended when a "token white" does well and leads their own team to victory.

Second, perhaps whites should learn from blacks and stop rooting for black athletes? Turnabout is fair play? I think we are a long way from that, however. For example, whites at an NHL game will probably cheer louder for a teams "token mulatto" scoring a single goal, than they would for an elite white goal-scorer registering a Hat-Trick?
