Since 2006 the Mountaineers have started 11, 9, 10, 9, 7, 7, 4, 9, 6, 6, 7, 9, 8 and 9 white guys. In 2029 they look to drop down to 5.
WVU is one of the few schools that has actually released a depth chart so we get an accurate description of where they are. They have a QB competition brewing between two unproven QB’s, upperclassmen Doege and Kendall. They also have 2 white WR’s listed on the depth chart in Reese Smith and Graeson Malashevich, expect some touches from whoever becomes the #2 guy at their position. We will likely see a white DB in Dante Bonamico when they decide to give him nickel reps, he is listed as the backup there.
Players to watch:
WR Reese Smith, WR Graeson Malashevich, OG Zach Frazier, OG Blaine Scott, DB Dante Bonamico
OFFENSE
QB Jarret Doege (JR) or Austin Kendall (SR)
TE Mike O’Laughlin (SO)
LG James Gmiter (SO)
C Chase Behrndt (SR)
DEFENSE
LB Dylan Tonkery (SR)
