Brooks Koepka shot a sparkling 7 under 63 in the first round, and halfway through the second round has gotten it down to -10. Tommy Fleetwood, Jordan Spieth and Dustin Johnson are the closest behind currently, ranging from -4 to -6. Tiger Woods is +3, hovering around the cut line, but of course all of his shots are still being lovingly covered. They're playing on the brutal Bethpage Black course outside of NYC, which favors long hitters who can keep it in the fairway. The crowds there are sure to be raucous as can be over the weekend. It could end up being a duel between Koepka and Johnson.

Still a long way to go but if Koepka pulls off the successful defense of his title, he'll be the first player ever to win the U.S. Open and PGA Championship back to back. First ever! Why, why, it might force Commissar Lerner and the rest of the emasculated golf media to cut back their coverage of Woods from 99% of the time to merely 97%, maybe even 96%.

Just LOL....It's just comical at this point. "Whatshisname" ...ROLFMAO. I am not questioning the integrity and honesty of Don Wassall here, but I really have hard time to believe that there can be so much open disrespect by the media. However, with the US and the UK NOTHING shocks me anymore. I won't pretend like I know or care about golf. This sport is nonexistent in where I live. Still, I have three questions for those of you who know much about golf and leave it at that. I am not looking to "ruin" or argue with long replies this post, just trying to figure out the mindset of my fellow white guys who claim to be Eurocentric here. I won't go back and forth, I promise. Simple questions and whoever wants to reply fine; if you don't want to reply, that's fine too.

1) Do you believe that all this "nerve" and open disrespect towards white people (not just in golf) in the US, is the result of the "secret war" of the Jews or blacks or browns or yellows? Does any of you blame whites for this?

2) Let's suppose that some of you think that some whites (way too many whites if you ask me) are responsible for this situation in the US, do you believe they are victims of the "Jewish propaganda" or are as awoken as you are but WANT this "blending" for one reason or another?

3) If golf was open/available to other European countries (excluding the few rich Americans and Brits from what I notice), Tiger Woods would even emerge as a star? I think not! But I could be wrong, of course.

Second and more important, you're done derailing threads. This thread is about the 2019 PGA Championship, period, which based on your post you are clearly not interested in. I realize you know far more about the United States than all the American posters here put together, but believe it or not we don't need your pompous, repetitious lecturing combined with your longstanding inability to discuss topics civilly. Woods respects golfers who could have successfully competed in other sports, and those who would never be intimidated by him. Koepka is among the precious few in that category. He's stronger than Tiger, longer than Tiger and just as determined as Tiger.

Brooks stumbled on the first half of the back nine, but went wire to wire to defend his title. What a star!! The "monster created by Tiger" routed the field except for Dustin Johnson, who made Koepka earn it under immense pressure.

Back to back in the PGA and U.S. Open -- amazing stuff. Even Richie Lerner said last night that Koepka is "one of the leading athletes in the world right now." Historic accomplishments, and at 29 he should have a number of years to go if he has the stamina and determination of Nicklaus.

The U.S. Open is next month, Brooks may even push Woods off the front page of hype for that event, nah, let's not be ridiculous. Regardless, history was made today at Bethpage Black, in front of NY DWFs who embraced Koepka half-heartedly at best, no surprise there.

I watched it. It was good to see Koepka win another major and DJ make a late run. I would have been happy with a win by either man. No Woods on the weekend was a bonus.

I did watch most of the last round but I missed an hour or so due to travel. I can't watch the first two rounds and didn't watch much in the way of the Golf Channel at night because I was busy watching the NBA playoffs and some baseball. Saturday my schedule got jumbled and I missed most of it.

I admit I was pulling for DJ and it got very interesting as Koepka bogeyed three straight holes while DJ was putting on a move. But DJ started fumbling around and that was the end of that. The conditions were brutal and couple that with a tough golf course no wonder the final round played out like it did.

As for Don's question about the NHL playoffs I have watched about 50% of the Bruins disposal of Carolina. Bergeron and his silky smooth style is a delight. I have been slack on the San Jose-St Louis Western matchup just catching bits and pieces. I am rooting for the Bruins at this point no matter who wins the West.

I watched the PGA, but just didn't post anything. Really no surprise that Koepka won, although I was pulling for Spieth. I'm happy for Koepka, but I'm hoping Spieth can get his game back together and see him win at least 10 majors. He has the ability as does Koepka. Spieth still just 25 years old has plenty of time to mature and seek 10 Majors.
Looking forward to seeing how Spieth does in June at the US Open at Pebble Beach. Spieth won there in 2017.
I am also very impressed with how Spieth has really been grinding and finding his way somewhat back. To me it shows he has guts, never gives up and is a fighter!
