Worst team in the league, the New York Knicks, defeated the Mavericks in Dallas tonight 106-102. But Doncic and Porzingas were awesome 66 combined points. Combined they shot 50% from the field and added 23 rebounds. Luka had another triple double (38, 14 reb and 10 assists). Problem is, after Luka and KP what does Dallas have?

Hardaway Jr. was their 3rd leading scorer tonight with 14 points, but shot a awful 5-15 from the field (3-10 3pts)..... Their other starters are mediocre, at best, and their bench is mostly D-League caliber players after Kleber and Barea, who never seems to play?

Kleber is good. He should be starting over Powel. They will be fine. It's a young team and they will have growing pains. Luka had his 3rd triple double of the season and a career high 38pts! Enjoy
the show. It's epic even despite the loss. This will be a playoff team in my honest opinion. Not ready for a championship yet but they should make the playoffs.

Bogdonavic had 33 pts tonight including the game winner for the Jazz.

Dallas Mavs G/F Luka Dončić has broken the record for most 30-point triple-doubles before the age of 21, previously held by LeBron James.

Dončić also broke the #Mavericks record for 20-point triple-doubles. He has 10, passing Jason Kidd for the franchise lead.

Luka Doncic is the youngest player in

to record 4 triple-doubles in the first 8 games of a season. He also joins Maurice Stokes (1957-58), Oscar Robertson (1960-61,1961-62) and Russell Westbrook (2016-17) as the only players to do so.

I really enjoyed watching the Mavericks vs Knicks last night. Doncic and Porzingis combined for 66 points. They make it look so fluid and effortless! It’s a pity that their teammates weren’t nearly as accurate. I’m really liking basketball again! These white boys make me proud!!!

Much discussed athletic bench players from last year are all off to disappointing starts to varying degrees.

Mario Hezonja now with Portland has been starting some games and while he is rebounding his shot has been way off so far. Then again he is playing with two of the biggest ball hogs in the game. Hard to find a rhythm with those two. I fear he will get pushed towards the end of the bench soon.

Grayson Allen is still languishing on a bench now that he is in Memphis.

Pat Connaughton of the Bucks had an explosive game earlier but has barely been used of late and is back to fading into the background.

His teammate Donte DiVencenzo is getting more time and has had a couple of decent games so far. These two play the same position though so what is good for the goose isn't good for the gander.

Finally Alex Caruso is the back up PG on the otherwise caste riddled media hyped (LeBron James and Anthony Davis) Lakers. He is usually good for one high flying dunk a game and some special dimes and last night was his best game this year as they beat Miami. Not ideal but it looks like Caruso may have found his niche as an exciting off the bench player. Out of all the above players he has stood out the most thus far. Take what you can get these days.

I see JJ Redick can still score. Getting the start for the Pelicans scored 12 points in 11 minutes.

Right now currently I'm witnessing Kawhi Leonard sitting out from the Clippers for as long as need be not because of an injury or even a family matter, nope he just doesn't feel like playing. I can't make this up its on BSPN as I write lol.. There's reports of several other black players doing the same **** as Kawhi, as in healthy but don't feel like playing for awhile.

I have a feeling white NBA owners or really any owner is not gonna keep letting this happen, and I think we might be in the midst of a big increase in signings from White/Euro players in the Euro-League! We've already seen a gain this season with Raptors SG Matt Thomas, Pelicans PF Nicolo Melli, Celtics C Vincent Poirer, and Nuggets SF Vlatko Cancar all featuring so far this season.

I think he would have had one last night but didn't play in the 4th. Finished with 24-14-8.

You are correct, Shadow, about the great Knicks teams of the 1970's, which I've read about and seen TV clips of. I figured most of them were gone by the mid-1970's, so the Knicks were basically all-black from about 1977 to 2009. Charles Barkley once said the Knicks were so black during those decades, that they were often referred to as the New York N*ggerbockers. Those are Barkley's word's, not mine. Just checked, the Knicks' teams of the 1990's only had two notable whites during that entire decade, a washed-up Goy finishing his career, Kiki Vandeweghe, and Chris Dudley, a Yalie who was a terrible free throw shooter. Both were backups during the decade. String of no white starters went throughout the 1990's and well into the 2000's until David Lee arrived.

As far as Porzingas, he really wanted out of New York and would not re-sign after his rookie contract expired. Who can blame him? The Knicks mulatto GM and head coach claimed they never wanted to trade him, but wound up doing it anyway -- eagerly and as quickly as possible. Quite honestly, I never cared for the Knicks, but did enjoy following them most years between 2009 and last season (with Donnie Walsh and Phil Jackson as GM's). Perry and Fizdale are of the age that they probably remember when the Knicks being all black was the norm in New York. I guess they wanted to return the team those "halcyon days", when they excluded whites at all costs. Now the team is as bad as ever. Hope it stays that way.

Speaking of all black teams, take away Gordon Hayward, and what notable whites has Boston had since Bird and McHale retired and Ainge was dealt? They are coming up on 3 decades of being all black. Los Angeles Lakers are similar (taking away P. Gasol and Divac) and they've been basically all black since the 1970's -- four decades.
I can assure you TT that these Knicks will remain bad with the black GM and head coach. The 90s black Knicks had success in large part because they had competent White men, Pat Riley and later Jeff Van Gundy, managing the plantation. What they have now is a far cry.

Fizdale is a mediocre at best coach who fizzled out (pun intended) with the Grizzlies. The GM looks clueless, trading Porzingis for very little return, and then getting shutout in the offseason from signing any of the star caliber free agents. The Knicks management told the fans to be patient after the trade because they had tons of cap room to build a team of stars. They failed of course and pissed the money away (as you mentioned) on C level bums to fill out a patchwork roster. This team is rebuilding indefinitely with no clear plan or star to build around. A disaster.

Great points, Freethinker. I think another reason the Knicks were fairly successful during the the 1990's is commissioner David Stern rigged the newly created 1985 NBA Draft Lottery (Frozen Envelope?) so that "generational talent" Patrick Ewing would wind up in the nation's largest TV market. Ewing never led N.Y. to a title, but he did have a great career and it wasn't his fault that team execs couldn't build a better team around him -- repeatedly wasting higher draft picks on overrated affletes and spending huge free agent money on B-level brothers that were either too old or diminished by injuries (i.e. Larry Johnson) when they donned the Dutch inspired Blue and Orange uniforms.

As far as David "Humpty Dance" Fizdale, he did what he does best last night at MSG, led the Knicks to a 21 point loss against the very mediocre Cleveland Cavaliers. Previously. I mentioned the team's mulatto President and GM that, along with "Humpty Hump", restored the team to being all black. Last night they came forward to address the media and claimed the team's play was "unacceptable".....One has to wonder how long "Humpty Hump" will be around if the losing continues? Right now, the Knicks are tied with Steve Kerr's Golden State Warriors for the worst record in the league. Hah, couldn't happen to two more deserving organizations !!!

Couple quick points: Even the most ardent DWF sites admit Kristap Porzingas was the teams best draft pick since Patrick Ewing in 1985. So it only took them 30 years to get it right? Then, like total @ss-clown fools, they hand him away for nothing? Both veterans they got from Dallas are already gone. Superhero PG Dennis Smiff Jr. is having all kinds of problems (on and off the court) and if Dallas keeps winning, the two first round picks N.Y. gets will be fairly low first rounders.

Deceptive Speed, you make a salient point regarding Kawhi, but the Clippers should have known, dating back to his days in San Antonio, that Leonard was a Grade-1 "slacker". He got what he wanted, a NBA title and huge contract , now he's reverted back to his old form, perhaps?....Also, I had no idea who Vincent Poirer was until you mentioned him. But when I looked him up, he didn't look white at all. Kind of looks like a very rare over-sized Arab?

Browsing through some boxscores from last night:

Luke Kennard (DET) had 22pts and 5reb!

Svi the Smooth Ukrainian had 6pts and 3reb in only 6 minutes of action for The Pistons! Give the man more playing time, as a Bucks fan I can assure you he has more upside than Tony Snell or Thon Maker.

Gallinari chipped in 14pts for (OKC)

Sabonis(IND) with another monster game 18pts and 16reb!

Kevin Love(CLE) had 20pts and 8reb.

For Miami Dragic had 18pts
Olynyk with 13pts 5ast and 3reb
Leonard with 4pts and 5reb
Robinson with 11pts

For Chicago Markannen had 13pts and 8reb.

Kevin Huerter(ATL) shot a perfect 4-4 from the field. 11pts 4reb and 3ast

Alex Len also had 17pts and 7reb for The Hawks.

Jokic(DEN) finished 20pts 6reb 7ast. In other words another day at the office.

Plumlee chipped in 7pts and 8reb.

Phoenix and their platoon of white athletes unfortunately fell short to LeBron.. Good performances though:
Baynes had 20pts 6reb 3ast
Saric with 18pts 7reb
Rubio 21pts 10ast 4reb
Kaminsky with 16pts 9reb and 3ast

Joe Harris (Brooklyn) with 11pts and 5reb. Really solid and underrated player. Just doesn't shoot enough and now he has ballhog Kyrie on his team.

Bojan Bogdanovic(UTAH) had 12pts
*No relation
Bogdan Bogdanovic (SAC) had 25pts

Aron Baynes is having a huge breakthrough season with Phoenix. He’s averaging over 16 ppg when his previous highs have been around 6 and a half. He’s also averaging career highs in rebounds, assists and blocked shots! If he can keep it up he should be in the mix for the most improved player award.

He's really come into his own in Phoenix! Also been impressed with Frank The Tank. He's also having a career year.

Luka Doncic had another triple double last night against the Knicks. Porzingis also scored 20 and despite the loss the Mavs look great going forward.

Luka Doncic is now 4th in the nba in scoring and 2nd in assists. He also is up to over 9 rebounds per game. If he can get his rebounds & assists up a little more he can
be averaging a triple double every game. Amazing. The scoring is what excited me the most. Yes he can do everything. True superstar but I would love to see
this kid lead the league in scoring or at least come close. Remember gentleman that Luka is only 20 years of age. This is historic! :)

Ricky Rubio is top 5 in assists. We have multiple guys in the rebound title chase. Sabonis who is only 23 is averaging 20 pts and 13 rebound per game. This kid
will only get better. We have veteran Kevin Love averaging 19 pts and over 12 rebounds per game. Many other names to add.

I continue to be very impressed with Tyler Hero. The kid is a future all star. All he needs is to be named a starter at some points and get a few more minutes. Every time
he steps on the floor he is a threat to score 20 plus points. He just doesn't get enough minutes.
