I will chalk up your "I don't care" who wins the final...comment as something said in the
heat of the moment. Great Croatia victory but there is no way in hell I wouldn't care if France wins the final. My guess is you feel the same way. I want France to go down in
flames.
Now back to England. Well it does turn out, like JL said and I suspected that they hadn't played anyone and they were finally exposed by a solid team. You have to respect the toughness of the Croatia team. They have been the most
consistent team here and while I suspect France will be favored they could pull it off especially if they can find a way to unnerve the French squad.
The Brits otherwise known as the
young black pack due to their plethora of young black players were out skilled in the second half by a game Croat side. The Croats controlled the mid field in the second half and England looked helpless at times. Mistakenly thinking this team will mature into gangbusters in four years would be a mistake. Germany should be able to regroup by then and my beloved Italy I would hope will come back with a vengeance.

Streaking into the clear with his blazing speed there is just one
small little problem. Once he gets control of the ball the ball controls him. It is called walking and chewing gum at the same time which he is incapable of so why the hell wasn't Jamie Vardy out there on the pitch instead? England was so determined to give face time to their young black pack they neglected the basics needed to win.
Playing patsies England falsely figured this group was the real deal but to me they are vaguely dull, disjointed and at the end of the day a mediocre team held up by a first class goaltender. Sadly I think the team will continue to push the" put as many blacks as possible out there" theme in four years and perhaps if they fall short again they will finally pull back the reigns on the
go whole hog black strategy.
I plan to watch the Belgium England match as well as the final. I will be rooting for Belgium and would love to see Eden Hazard shine.
