You can bet Martina Navratilova, Mary Carillo, Jon Wertheim, Chris Fowler and the rest of the hard-core feminists and leftists at ESPN and the Tennis Channel are deep in mourning.
However, I won't be too optimistic about a changing of the guard just yet. Kerber has done this before and then regressed, as have all the top White women's players for way too long now.
I'll try to watch a replay, but my guess is that Kerber won in large part by getting Brutus to run around. She is so fat now that she can barely move, relying more than ever on her unnatural strength to overpower opponents.

Was just going back and watching some highlights on YouTube of it. The BSPN set of highlights is so Linebacker focused you'd have thought she won.
The compliments to Kerber even during the match seemed to me as though they were through clinched teeth.
One thing I really didn't like was the crowds' really half ass clapping for Kerber, even and especially in the trophy presentation. Crap, like they hated that a blond White girl won her first Wimbledon over a Black, and I immediately thought of the crowd as BRAINWASHED LEFTISTS masochisticly writhing in their seats as she took the trophy.... Good grief!

The cucked British crowd was an embarrassment. No wonder their country is under a third-world diversity invasion. But blacks themselves are always tribal. One of the articles mentioned of several prominent blacks in attendance supporting the lineman, including the negress who married Prince Harry, Woods, F1 driver Lewis Hamilton, etc.
Was fellow German F1 driver Sebastian Vettel or any other prominent whites in attendance to support the blonde German woman? Of course not.
Anyway, enough of my ranting. This is a joyous moment, I was completely resigned to Williams winning the championship, many congratulations to Kerber for this victory.
As far as this obese negress who has been our nightmare for so long, I'm afraid not much we can do until she retires. Given the complete lack of consistency by some of the white younger players, she will continue to be GS contender for a couple more years at least. I hope I'm wrong on that.

BSPN and all their "muh peeple of coluh" race-baiting was indicative of a clear expectation of a Lineman victory. All the important members of the tribe would be there to see their masculine tribal princess win a great victory.

I saw half the match in the morning and re watched the whole thing on ESPN News last night. The men's final replay is scheduled for tonight too.
Kerber joins Wozniacki and Halep as this year's GS winners and they all have one thing in common. All three are tremendously fit athletes who can really scurry around the court. None of them are especially powerful and Kerber who is a bit like Kim Clijsters with less thump, poses a problem for Serena because she is one of the best serve returners on tour and in order to beat Serena you have to contest her serves which has been her best weapon over the years.
Kerber was virtually flawless and composed as Serena kept over hitting. Serena's timing was bad due to not properly moving her feet.
I have suggested a while back Serena is done winning majors and I continue to stand by that prediction. Age and weight have impaired her movement and it just seems someone should be able to knock her off going forward despite the plethora of chokers out there on the women's tour. Kerber was the first quality player Serena faced in Wimbledon this year.
Kerber who came back from the dead (she was awful last season) now has three majors and has beaten Serena two times.
Still the women's tour is in a weird transition where you wonder who the next big thing will be if there is one?
Kerber is 30 and Wozniacki is no young chicken either. Halep is in her mid twenties and has the best shot of staking a claim but it is very hard to predict what comes next. Will a young female tennis player under the age of 21 emerge?
And I think the age of the Williams sisters is ending. Don't get me wrong Serena and Venus to a lesser degree, will be in the mix but I see the finish line and the curtain is coming down. And it is about time!!

Lost in the joy and quite frankly, relief that Kerber won is the Men's side and Djokovic winning his fourth Wimbledon Trophy and his 12th career slam title.
He came in at his lowest seed in a long time (12th) but won it in straight sets (6-2, 6-2, 7-6) against a likely worn out but very gutsy Anderson who had to win an exhausting 5 setter that went 26-24 in the last set in his semi. Even Djokovic had to beat Nadal no less in the other semi that also went five, ending at 10-8. That you have win the deciding set by two games, and not merely a tiebreaker, among other things in the storied and rich heritage of Wimbledon, make it one of the most grand sporting events ever.
I never want to see it change. It's one of the last sporting championships that keeps the great traditions and mystique from our gallantry and assaulted superior ways. The closest and most comparable thing is The Masters...

After watching the Djokovic win he almost fell through the trap door that Federer fell in. Up an easy two sets he had to fight off set points to eventually win the third set but who knows what would have happened if Anderson had pulled that set out. Federer was up an easy two sets to zero but could never get over the top. Djokovic though had enough athleticism and steady enough serve to fend Anderson off. Novak can really hit the ball through the court and his court coverage is splendid which is why he gives rough customer Nadal a lot of trouble.
Now there is talk that Anderson was on the courts too long after his lengthy battle with Federer and his ultra marathon with Isner. But I want to see Wimbledon stick to their guns and have players earn a two game difference as opposed to a fifth set tiebreaker. The elephant in the room is win your earlier damn matches in an appropriate time and manner next go around instead of all these weepy types feeling sorry for you.
The media is pushing hard though and it is yet just another example of the pansy approach towards sports that has infiltrated every sporting endeavor. Why change? Which is why, like Beyond here, I hold Wimbledon in such a high regard. They are not afraid to be classy and old fashioned!!
Speaking of change we are witnessing an unprecedented time in tennis. Three players piling up Grand Slams like they are going out of style. Hell I remember when players like Edberg and Becker were considered the cream of the crop. They each got to six Grand Slams and I used to think wow that is some resume.
Not anymore. And Djokovic surprisingly came out of a two year injury riddled funk to win here and nobody thought Federer would win more Grand Slams after his 2016 season but here we are the same three players sitting atop the tennis world. And many have predicted Nadal would wear himself out with his rugged style. (Murray was going to be the fourth wheel but he got derailed.) But after these guys finally do exit stage left who will fill the void?
You can't help but wonder was has happened to the new generation of players for the men and women?
While it is still a thrill to see these legends go at it, tennis has traditionally been moved along by young stars popping up and for some reason no one has stepped up to the plate. Heck Maria won Wimbledon at 17 in 2004. Federer won his first in 2003 when he was 21. Tennis history is loaded with "teen" or near teen rising stars.
Now other media outlets are questioning the approach of the young players. When a female tennis player asks one of her gofers to put suntan lotion on her arms you know things have gone too far in the pampering department. It is almost as if the young players don't have real designs on winning but rather "making it" on tour and just luxuriate in everything.
For the men there is an old soccer tradition that states nobody gets laid during a tournament or before a big match and I think that has some merit. These young male tennis stars are probably getting laid far too often and figuring to themselves well what is the point of winning when life is nice on easy street.
It is called hunger and desire and I don't see it with these over spoiled young players. They have to work and sacrifice and I just don't get any sense of that.Tennis is a thinking man's sport but it is also a young person's sport because it takes great athleticism and quickness to succeed at the pro level. These young pups should be doing more than bowing out early in the majors.
Perhaps we will see the stirrings of some breakthroughs at the US Open (preferably white obviously) but the clock keeps ticking even though it feels that in tennis, time isn't moving along as Nadal, Federer and Djokovic are still on top of the mountain. They are still exciting but mold is gathering in the background.
And when they are eventually replaced we also hope the "new stars" play an exciting brand of tennis. Great to see Djokovic back on top, he's a class act all the way. This really is the Golden Age of men's tennis and I don't want it to end. The Djokovic-Nadal semi was another all-time classic, five-plus hours of tremendous shot making under pressure. It's been said before but worth saying again, the top tennis players rank among the most fit athletes in the world.
Gotta give Jim Courier some props too. He does a great job as an announcer and analyst, really enjoy his work.

Actually, Roger won the Australian Open this season in January, repeating as Champion from last year. (Not sure if you meant after that...)
I agree though, that this upcoming U.S. Open and his play there may be indicative of his chances of future Majors. He's 36 now...

In regards to fitness the past couple of weeks there was plenty of real fitness on display at the World Cup and Wimbledon. Both tennis and soccer require the kind of stamina that is top of the line. Basketball players exhibit it too but baseball players apart from catchers and pitchers do a lot of standing around. Imagine making the kind of money they rake in by standing in the outfield looking up at the sky. Compare that to what most ordinary people have to do to scrape by and work? Basically we are talking about two different universes.
But it is very interesting to note the difference between a football player and a tennis player. When Djokovic took his shirt off to change tops after his win his upper body was slightly muscular trim and fit. He looked like what most athletes looked like in the 1950's-1970's. Almost a normal build for a man of his age albeit most likely more lithe looking than your average Joe. Djokovic could pass for a Major League SS circa 1967. The standard well put together athlete.
Witness the NFL Combine and the absurd musculature of the black players with their comic book builds and exaggerated muscle definition right out of the Joe Weider body builder manual. And their propensity to be photographed without their shirts on which to me smacks as some sort of homo thing. The question I keep asking myself is have these black players been mainlining steroids for years or are their weird bodies the result of intense gym work?

Below is an article and two charts (men and women) that display the average age of the top players over the years. It is startling how the players winning now are much older. The writer comes up with his reasons why and I buy some of it but not all of it.
For sure on the men's side we are watching all time greats ( the golden generation) and of course Serena fits that description as well. But still it makes one wonder.
The kids today not only lack the necessary toughness but they are intimidated which was not the case going back years. Back then it was the younger player who displayed confidence not too mention cockiness. And they grew up a lot faster than kids today who are immersed in all sorts of trivial social pursuits and I Phone madness.
It didn't help matters when the nervous WTA tour started limiting teenager touring events which I thought was heavy handed. If the girls can compete with the pros let them I say. What was Tracy Austin 14 when she started pounding the older girls?
Like I said tennis is one of those sports where the mind plays a huge role and I think the mind set of the younger players isn't where it should be. Young players should be hungry and voracious and not settle. Whatever happened to the confidence of youth?
