Since 2006, Western Kentucky has started 13, 11, 10, 13, 10, 9, 4, 5, 8, 4, and 4 White players (no writeup in 2013). This year they look to double last season's number to a total of 8 White starters.
Offense
QB - Drew Eckels
LT - Parker Howell
C - Seth Joest
RG - Tyler Witt
RT - Cole Spencer
Defense
DT - Evan Sayner
DE - Carson Jordan
LB - Ben Holt
Notable backups include QB Steven Duncan, QB Davis Shanley, OL R.J. Scaife, OL Jordan Meredith, TE Kyle Fourtenbary, DE Heath Wiggins, and DE Nick Coffey.
Fifth-year senior QB Drew Eckels, who has waited four years to become the starting quarterback, beat out a mouth-watering upsider named "Kevaris" for the position. Second-string tight end Kyle Fourtenbary should see a decent number of targets, behind a first-stringer named "Mik'Quan."
Overall, WKU is a fairly typical Caste team with Whites concentrated in Caste-approved positions. Their defensive front, where Sayner, Jordan, and Wiggins should all expect to get good playing time, is surprisingly White-friendly. On the other hand, their defensive b(l)acks, running b(l)acks, and wide receivers are all 100% coal-black.
Rating:
White-Friendly (12+ White starters)
Genuinely Diverse (9-11)
Cafe au Lait (7-8)
Ferguson (5-6)
Detroit (3-4)
Wakanda (2 or below)
Western Kentucky's improvement this year is enough to earn them a Cafe au Lait rating.
