Since 2005, Stanford has started 11, 14, 14, 14, 15, 14, 13, 9, 9, 12, 14, 14, 13...This year is projected to be 11.

Stanford is a perennial caste favorite! I still commend David Shaw for having the guts to start Christian McCaffrey at Tailback. Highly doubtful any SEC (white) coaches would have given him the same opportunity.

HS Shot put Dunking TE Kaden Smith (Jr. 6'5" 250) has NFL written all over him; last year showed off human highlight reel catches vs. Cal; Notre Dame & USC! & Colby Parkinson (soph.) 6'-7" 235 had 10 rec for 4 TD's should only cement TE.U's legacy

Hoping WR Trent Irwin (Sr. 6'-2" 204) can finally have a break out season

LB Joey Alfieri should be in the NFL one day

Others to watch for: QB Davis Mills; QB Jack West ; TE Tucker Fisk; TE Kyle McCombs

OFFENSE (8)
QB KJ Costello
FB Reagan Williams
WR Trent Irwin
TE Colby Parkinson/ Kaden Smith
LT Walker Little (Soph.) 6'-7" 317
LG Nate Herbig
C Jessie Burkett
RT A.T. Hall

DEFENSE (3)
DE Dylan Jackson
OLB Joey Alfieri
OLB Casey Toohill

Keep an eye on : FS Stuart Head(Soph.) 6'-4" 201 (GA)!; True Freshman CB Ethan Bonner (TX)!
ILB Sean Barton (getting healthy ); DE Thomas Schaffer; LB Andrew Pryts ; DT Bo Peek (injured?)

Not sure of Peek's status who was highly recruited out of FL ...hadn't played in two years with injury?? Is capable of being a starter if healthy.

Thanks 22.

During the CM era it was easy to get behind Stanford full hog. Quite right 22 they are a solid program.

They have a lot of things in place and the depth chart looks promising. Anytime I see a white CB listed my interest level rises fast.

I have two concerns. First this team like last year's squad could quickly turn into the ( RB) "Bryce Love Show" which rankles.

My second concern that I hope finally gets addressed is their use of WR Trent Irwin. A very highly ranked WR out of HS, he has all but stalled here at Stanford. He has played a lot which is good but by the end of last season he was primarily used as a dink and dunk man.Not exactly the kind of stuff needed for an NFL resume.

It makes me think of Iowa WR from last season Matt VandeBerg who didn't do enough his senior season to garner NFL interest. I think Irwin is more thought of in NFL terms but I suspect they want to see a more impactful season from Irwin before they invite him to the Combine.
