Woodhead retired, Zenner purged, Nall screwed over, injury prone Rex on IR which may signal the end of his career, no young White receivers being developed other than Kupp. McCaffrey is an outlier who is as rare in the league as Jason Sehorn was. It's business as usual for the NFL.

Guys like Nelson Spruce and Chad Hansen never really got a fair shot. I have hope that CMAC will redefine the way scouts and coaches see white rbs years from now.

As Don alluded to, and I agree with 100%, CM will very likely have the same impact Jason Sehorn had on future whites at the position: None ... He'll be seen as a complete outlier and very little will change, even if he has a Hall of Fame career.

P.S: No young wide out in the NFL has been screwed as bad as Brandon Reilly, in my opinion. Based on how he performed the last two years in OTA's and pre-season he should be starting for the Bills. #3 WR, at worst ... Currently, he is not even on a practice squad, in this ugly, racist, rancid league.

There is no doubt, unless Rex comes back and makes a major impact the final 5 weeks of the season, his career will be in serious jeopardy. His exit out the NFL will be the exact same as Toby Gerhart -- will be deemed/dubbed as"unreliable" due to injuries and cut by the Pats. Once they allow him to leave, who else will sign a constantly injured 29 year old white tailback? Keep in mind, teams are only allowed 2 players to return from injured reserve...So if some impact affletes are injured in coming weeks, could be bad news for Rex. Although I believe he will be allowed to return, if healthy.



Some on the site are giddy over the fact that the Dolphins are suddenly "pro white". Yesterday they cut fast tall, young wide out Tanner McAvoy without giving him a chance....Odd, they are seen as "pro white", considering they only have 1 white defender that plays much. And he (Kiko Alonso) is likely helped out by his Cuban heritage. Team in a area with a huge Cuban population, that can't even come close to selling out a old stadium. Kiko's real first name is Christian. If he was not Cuban (say Chris Jones), I doubt he'd get a chance to start for Miami, even with the same talent.



Beat me to it, Don. I wanted to post the CMC to Sehorn anolagy a while back...Don't forget CM appeared in a National commercial with a black teammate for an NFL sponsor last fall...He's the very rare white (like Sehorn) to be deemed "Kosher" at a non white/taboo position.

Regarding Alonso, just because he may have some cuban heritage that doesn't make him any less white. It may be a coincidence he plays for Miami, but I could see him stepping in to start for any team.

DS, I don't disagree that he could start for any team in the league...But let's not forget, after his amazing rookie year in Buffalo, he tore his ACL. After he recovered he was traded to Philly in a block buster deal for LeSean McCoy and re-united with Chip Kelly. Yet he still went to the bench for an entire season and Weenie world savaged him due his "lack of coverage skills" when he did play. Things were not looking up for him.

Miami knew they had a two-for: One, he's clearly a starting caliber linebacker, who just needed a shot....Two, Christian Alonso has two full blooded "Hispanic" parents (who are white), which they could use for marketing purposes. Miami has not drawn well for a while and it has a large Cuban population (many are white).

What I'm saying is the Cuban angle probably helped him land a "fair second chance".....And he took it and ran with it. Had Miami not been there to give him that shot, he could've faded away (or been cleansed) like so many touted white linebackers after significant injuries.

NOPE! Agree with TT and DW. I've said it a dozen times. CMAC is in the league because of his father. I have to say CMAC is a tremendous talent, but there's been several, if not many, as good as CMAC or better who have never been given a chance.
If not for Ed McCaffrey's career in the NFL, we may have never even heard of Christian McCaffrey!

Yes, many Cubans are white. For example, Jose Capablanca, the great chess champion was white and he was Cuban. Same with Desi Arnaz from I Love Lucy.
