Are these some of the League's best D's and the scores are like this? Terrible!
But I'm glad the Rams pulled it out. The pick sixes and the strip sack sixes probably taint the final score...

Sorenson was a step behind on that TD pass. He is going to get raked over the coals while the rest of the Chiefs defense gets a pass.
He actually played cornerback on that play, I don't know if there was an injuries or it was a cornerback blitz type play. So we had a White corner sighting, rarer than the Bald Eagle sighting in Manhattan.....

Goff shined tonight and finished with 0 ints. Tonight that was the difference. The Chiefs basically shut down Gurley (55 yds) and Goff had to throw and indeed did great in a big game. The fumbles almost came back to bite him, but he proved he's ready to go to the playoffs when the time comes.

Great to see the Rams pulled out this arena football affair and Goff had an outstanding game besides the fumbles. He is my QB on my fantasy team, so I am doubly psyched.

All the "talk" after that weird shootout and quite frankly poorly played and disciplined game last night was about the "new look NFL" where offenses fly up and down the field. Read between the lines and what they are really saying is the black WRs and RBs supported by a white or black QB are unstoppable forces.

The poster child for the basketball on grass track event formerly known as football is Tyreek Hill. A suspect character with one of those annoying black first names Hill is seen as the future of the NFL. The unstoppable black speedster. Everyone is "helpless" against this so called 9th wonder of the world.

While rule changes have hampered defenses somewhat I contend that defensive play, mostly populated by blacks, just plain sucks. We hear about the innovative offensive coaches and there is now consensus that defenses have little chance in stopping the high flying offenses unless they get turnovers like the Rams did last night. Again these type of games "highlight" black players as the offensive guys put up video game numbers and a few black defenders make a few key plays. Everybody goes home happy smug in the knowledge that the enduring theme centered around the "great black athlete" is intact. ESPN's Mike Greenberg wet his pants watching the game.

Not so fast I say. I will use another sport to argue my case. In 1990 when UNLV trounced the competition including a semi white Duke team nearly all the pundits said the game of basketball has changed forever. What they were saying at the time is that putting five athletic defensive minded black athletes on the court will stifle any team and UNLV was the poster child for that type of thinking.

What happened the next year? UNLV got knocked off by Duke and suddenly the game hadn't changed forever.

Word to the wise NFL folk. Start getting more white players on defense. A simple thing. Someone with pride who knows that the object of defensive football is to snuff out the other team's offense. Stop relying on how defensive players look in shorts at the Combine and start introducing back into the league hard nosed white defenders who can read plays, communicate and actually TACKLE.
