Since 2006 the Razorbacks have started 6, 7, 5, 7, 5, 5, 6, 7, 7, 6 ,6 and 5 whites. In 2018 Arkansas will see an increase to 8 white starters, possibly 9 when FB Hayden Johnson plays! Arkansas who are lead by HC Chad Morris look to be one of the more supportable SEC teams this year, I hope Morris sticks around!
At QB the Razorbacks have 2 whites battling it out for the starting job which is never a bad problem to have, in (Jr) Ty Story and (So) Cole Kelley. Ty Story currently has the edge so far. Arkansas look to continue their trend of fielding white WR's in Kansas transfer Chase Harrell arrived. (Jr) Harrell is a big outside threat at 6'5 215, and he's currently listed on the 2-deep . (Jr) TE Austin Cantrell will return as a starter after sharing snaps last season, also returning is (Jr) FB Hayden Johnson who should see an increase in usage in the passing game. The OL will look decent at 3/5 white, along with some good depth on the 2-deep.
Defensively Arkansas breaks the mold for an SEC team with 3 projected starters. At DT giant 6'5 312 (Jr) Austin Capps returns with 11 career sacks, and he should improve in his first year as a full-time starter. Former 3-star LB recruits (So) Hayden Henry, and (So) Grant Morgan will start beside each-other and should form a dominate duo. They also have (So) DE Elias Hale, and (Fr) LB Bumper Pool who should both see good PT off the bench.
Offense
QB- Ty Storey 6'2 215 (Jr)
FB- Hayden Johnson 6'2 248 (Jr)
TE- Austin Cantrell 6'3 262 (Jr)
LT- Noah Gatlin 6'7 293 (Fr)
LG- Ty Clary 6'4 290 (So)
C- Hjalte Froholdt 6'5 315 (Sr)
Defense
SLB- Hayden Henry 6'2 222 (So)
MLB- Grant Morgan 5'11 220 (So)
Ones to look out for in 2018: QB Cole Kelley, WR Chase Harrell, TE Grayson Gunter, OG Shane Clenin, OT Dalton Wagner, DL Elias Hale, LB Bumper Pool, S Ryder Lucas
