Nevada WR McLane Mannix named to the FWAA freshman all-american team - second player in school history. Mannix had 57 catches for 778 yards and 6 TDs as a true freshman as a three-star (surprise surprise) recruit out of Texas.
"“The kid is an unbelievable athlete,” Nevada inside receivers coach Timmy Chang said during the season. “When you come in as a freshman, you’re playing this sport against grown men. It’s a lot different between high school and college. For him to play as well as he did, it was impressive. It was really, really impressive.”
