The expansion Bucs from 76' to 77' lost 26 straight games and were derisively known as the Yuks. So this territory has been crossed before, John McKay kept his job and coached the Bucs for a few more seasons after this.

I looked up the 77 Bucs. They went 2-14 so they went 2-26 over 28 games their first 2 seasons. McKay may have the record for consecutive losses but does Jackson have the record for the worst winning percentage of all time?

Jared Goff could also be in contention too, he just gets better and better every time I watch the rams play.

I was screaming the same thing. Mysteriously leave out the 13th ranked QB rating for Wilson. It would be too obvious if they put that gem up there.

WTF. In the Saints- Bucs pre-kickoff dialogue Joe Buck called Cam Newton the "Great Cam Newton." Joe Montana was great. Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, and Dan Marino were/are great. Joe Buck must have been drinking. Sounded like he was full of schlitz.

Surely the oddity of the week was the emergence of QB/RB Taysom Hill on special teams see above post(s). At first I thought he was the hyper athletic LB from Chattanooga who they drafted a few years back but I quickly snapped back and said oh the BYU QB Actually is on a roster? And I guess they have this folk thing going already which is fine I guess. Kind of reminds me of the very caste Cowboys of the 90's and Bill Bates was seen as a special teams folk hero. Kind of annoying on the other hand. Can you imagine a player like Robert Griffin being relegated to special teams? Speaking of which Zach Zenner was returning KO's for the Lions.

Carolina went flat and the Saints are playing without TE Fleener who was placed on injured reserve. If Carolina has any post season hopes they need to beat the tough Vikings next week at home.

I was disappointed in general but rookies Kupp and Trent Taylor had decent games. And it would not be the first time Travis Kelce had an explosive first half only to finish up the game basically with the first half stats. Can't blame Alex Smith for the loss and as mentioned above he had a 70 yard run. The Chiefs defense and their vaunted pass rush has stalled this season although Sorensen continues to pile up the tackles. And Rex Burkhead looked explosive yesterday as many noted above. Very versatile and healthy he has been a great addition to the Pats.

Speaking of defensive stalwarts and Freethinker is usually the first to point these players out LB Joe Schobert is truly a special rangy player. 12 more tackles to lead his team. DE Joey Bosa destroyed the Browns 7 tackles and three for a loss including another sack. He has transformed that entire team. The Rams DE Matt Longacre is an under the radar player who has played well of late.

Other LB's who played well include Kuechly (big surprise ha) and the Jags Paul Posluszny has reemerged as a tackling machine. And as mentioned above Clay Matthews was a beast Sunday and has looked like his old self for most of the season flying round the field creating havoc.

For the Ravens PR Michael Campanaro was back returning punts and S Eric Weddle returned an interception for a TD as noted above. The same "dynamic" of PR and S will play out tonight with the Alex Erickson and Clayton Fejedelem. The latter has been getting more and more snaps and has been producing in a big way. And we can only hope Erickson gets some chances to make plays at WR.

Actually, just looking at that Lions-Ravens game (I don’t know if this has been mentioned yet), three white defensive players scored TDs. Weddle obviously had a pick six, while linebacker Nick Bellore had a short TD catch playing on offense and two-way player Patrick Ricard (NT/FB) also had a short TD catch.

Lot's of coaches go 1-15. Jimmy Johnson went 1-15 his first season. Usually they improve or get fired.

There's a chance Jackson doesn't get fired after this season. The de facto GM of the Browns, Sashi Brown, is pitching the idea that the owner needs to stay the course to "build" the team. The owner may fall for this and not make any changes.

So Jackson could create a new record for the worst record over three seasons. We can only hope...

Saw the video. Absolutely the worst way to tackle by leading with your head first. Hopefully, he will not be paralyzed. Claimjumper, you are correct, I will be suprized if he comes back from that.

I’m not watching the game just looking at the stats so no idea. Hopefully somebody who’s watching the game can give us an evaluation.

I respect Gruden and McDonough for their willingness to call out a lot of the garbage that goes on in NFL games. Wouldn't surprise me if they're replaced sooner or later by more compliant types, ala Crissie and just about all the rest of them. The NFL and corporate media are married to each other and rely on each other to rake in the billions of dollars of profits that Amerika's secular religion generates. That's why most of the national anthems suddenly stopped being shown. I expect huge amounts of empty seats for the last home games of the teams out of the playoff race, and even some still in it, which TV viewers will notice and talk about. And hopefully next year at least 10% of the league's season ticket holders don't renew. The league and its corporate media partners need to continue to feel a lot more financial pain than what's transpired so far.

As far as tackling, the problem goes back to pandering. Blacks like to launch themselves head-first like missiles rather than wrap up, and like so many fundamentals in football and other sports, proper technique has been sacrificed to the greater agenda. The human missiles need to start being fined huge amounts of money and suspended for several games at least, and just as certain types of fighting in hockey were completely eliminated through strict rules being strictly enforced, the head hunting will change overnight.

A few thoughts on last night's weird game. Ironic that two of the NFL's dirtiest player's were the guys that got their skulls smacked, Burfict and Shazier. I have said this before but like so many things in life common sense is thrown out the door. To help cut down on these head shots the NFL needs to adopt the college rules where the "targeting" label comes into play. If guilty and last night there would have been several "guilty" players the player is kicked out of the game and along with fines and stuff could be suspended for a certain amount of time like the first half of the next game or a whole game etc.

Lost in the typically nasty affair between these two teams was once again HC Marvin Lewis choked up what should have been a win. This guy is horrible when it comes to game management. Dalton played well but his WR's dropped too many easy key passes including their star Green. Two other things stood out like a sore thumb. WR Erickson, their KR and PR lined up on offense at times but was never looked at or targeted. There seemed to be no reason for him being out there besides just another body to fill up the field. Then even more peculiar was S Fejedelem who had been playing well and earned a start. Great I said. But as the game wore on he was seen less and less. By the end of the game when the Steelers were moving up and down the field he was nowhere to be seen. I looked at the box score and saw he was credited with two tackles, perhaps one was on special teams but why did Lewis yank him when the Bengals had built a lead and the Steelers were sputtering. Not going to say his absence was the sole reason the Steelers started moving the ball but the safeties that were out there at crunch time were horrible. And of course there was that sideline play where the clueless Bengals just watched Bell waltz into the end zone when a simple push would have knocked him out of bounds.

The Bengals should fire Lewis at the end of the season. Too many weirdo types on the team and the lack of discipline and inability to control games that are winnable has just gone on for far too long.

I think Marvin X will finally be gone after this season. Fifteen years with the same team without winning a single playoff game is likely a dubious record that will never be surpassed. But the team will still have the same thug-coddling owner/GM (who is a disgrace to his father's legacy) so there's little reason to expect anything to change.

Keenum is having a Pro Bowl caliber season. He probably won't be named a Pro Bowler though. Some less deserving black QB will probably get a spot over him.

This happened a couple of years ago when Winston got a spot over Cousins who was far superior.
