Last year, I waxed poetic about my days as a Giants DWF and how enjoyable they were to watch under GM Ernie Accorsi and HC Jim Fassel. So you can read or re-read the 2016 Giants write up to recall the "good ol' days" of Jason Sehorn, Joe Jerovious, Jeremy Shockey, etc. Alas, it's the current year goy and the Giants under negro GM Jerry Reese have gone down the Caste toilet. Last year's roster was composed of a record low 9 Whites and Thrashen dubbed them "Raiders East". Well things have bounced after hitting rock bottom and the roster will be slightly Whiter.
The team is still headed by iron man Eli Manning who is the active leader for consecutive NFL starts. That's good news as the backup is functioning retard Geno Smith. Eli is a highly acclaimed quarterback but because of his perceived cuckoldry is under appreciated here at CF. Quoting from Wiki:
"Manning is one of four quarterbacks in NFL history with at least 45,000 career yards, 300 touchdowns, four Pro Bowl appearances and two Super Bowl championships (John Elway, Tom Brady, Peyton Manning). He is the eighth all-time leader in passing yards, and seventh in passing touchdowns."
Not too shabby!
Recent draftee, Davis Webb, will spend a season learning as the 3rd QB. I hope the team is grooming him to be the eventual replacement for 36 year old Eli. Webb showed all the tools and ability to make NFL throw last year at Cal. I loved this pick. Other positive developments are an increase of White skill players this year, granted they are at FB and TE. UDFA Shane Smith out of San Jose St defied the odds making the team as a FB. Last year the Giants went away from their blue collar, smash mouth roots and did not roster one so Smith's role and snap count remain to be seen. The other positive developments are 2 White TEs after having none for awhile. Former Viking Rhett Ellison will start but is mostly there for blocking. Matt LaCosse seems buried on the depth chart for now but the team is said to like him and he shows great play making ability whenever on the field (mostly preseason). On the line, the only 2 talented players are the White ones. Go figure.
Defense once again is a black hole (literally). Unfortunately, this unit is pretty good as Reese has spent tons of money to build it and it probably saved his ass last year. Hopefully all the TNB will cause it to implode.
White men on the 53 (starters in bold)
QB: Eli Manning, Davis Webb
FB: Shane Smith
TE: Rhett Ellison, Matt LaCosse
OL: Justin Pugh (G), Weston Richburg (C), Chad Wheeler (T), Brett Jones (C/G)
LB: Calvin Munson
ST: Aldrick Rosas (K)*, Brad Wing (P), Zak DeOssie (LS)
*Mexican see photo below
IR: Mark Herzlich (LB), Evan Schwan (DE)
PS: Adam Bisnowaty (T)
12 (13 if you count the Mexican) out of 53 (23%); 5 out of 22 starters (23%)
Grade: F (I gave the Jets a F+ despite the same counts due to a White WR)
