Just found out that the Jazz have traded for Ricky Rubio. This is fantastic news as Rubio is only 27 years of age and he is a top 5 point guard in the nba. He will remind alot of people in Utah of Stockton although not quite as good. Rubio now has to help convince Gordon Hayward to stay put. They are offering Hayward a maximum 5 year deal for 180 million dollars. He would be crazy not to take it. They are a playoff team that just got even better with Rubio there. Hayward averaged 22 points per game last year. We shall see how this plays out. I hope he signs with Utah.

I was hoping to see Hayward go to Boston so he would get more media attention. However, with Rubio on the Jazz, I'd like to see him stay. With Rubio. Hayward and Joe Ingles, they'd be a team to watch.

Can you imagine if Utah could find a way to keep Hayward and then somehow trade for Kevin Love? They would become a legitimate championship contender out west. Love and Hayward are both allstars and Rubio is pretty close. Ricky Rubio is great defender who normaly is in the top 5 in the nba in steals. We all know he is an incredible passer and his shooting/scoring has really improved. I highly doubt this woud happen but it would be fun to watch!

JJ Redick to the 76ers for a 1 year deal worth 23 million! That's a big deal and if he performs well, can get paid again next season on the market. Also, Philly should be a palatable team to watch with JJ, Saric, McConnell and possibly Stauskus.

Gordon Hayward signs with the Celtics. I'm happy and sad at the same time. He was the number one star in Utah and now he will have to take a back seat to I. Thomas and maybe a couple of other players. It would have been so nice to see him and Rubio dominating in the west.

On the positive side though he is back with his old college coach. I would imagine that they know what they have and I'm hoping they will build the team around him. Thomas while being very talented is too short and you don't build a team around the point guard. He helps but cannot be the main star. Even Westbrook will never win a championship unless he has stars around him. So hopefully Hayward can still be the main man in Beantown. They will love the kid. They are clearly now one of the top 2 teams in the east. Hoping for more all star games and bring some championships back to Boston like in the Bird/Mchale Era!

Not official yet, but that probably just means he hasn't signed the contract yet before making it official.

He would be a fool to leave the Jazz. The Jazz built around him, they have an all-defense center that is a good scorer too, they just acquired Rubio the best pass first PG in the league, and Hayward is the focal point on the offense and THE MAN at Utah. I think if he goes to the Celtics they'll make him a third wheel and eventually phase him out, another Kevin Love story. I think the Jazz with Hayward are better than the Celtics with Hayward, and there's more synergy there. The White stars today are such fools.

If I were him I would head to the Utah Jazz. It's a perfect fit. Kelly Olynik can hopefully become the star that he never was
allowed to be in Boston. He is an unresricted free agent currently. The Celitcs had offered him earlier but have now renounced that offer. Even the Suns or Nuggets could be a good team to go to.

Hayward to Boston finally gives the Celtics another white Star! I like it, Jazz were going nowhere in the crowded and competitive Western Conference. Now he heads to the lowly east but joins a historic franchise with his college coach and has decent talent around him. I think Hayward and Thomas will compliment each other nicely and have a chance leading their squad to battle the Cavs for top spot in the East.

I was wondering the same thing. They are both undersized, shoot-first, high scoring point guards. One of my friends thinks Thomas may have some nagging injury problems and that's why Boston was willing to part with him.

The Celtics didn't really have a star player except for Isaiah Thomas and he was coming off a pretty bad injury and he probably wasn't going to be with the team much longer anyway. The Celtics were going to be Gordon Hayward's team. The Boston Celtics are the most successful team in NBA history and one of the most storied franchises in all of sports. And they're currently a good team that can contend for a championship. They have a brilliant young White head coach. They're on national television all of the time. And a White American player in his prime, playing one of the most Caste positions in all of sports(athletic white scoring forward), was going to be the face of that franchise. Hayward would have averaged at least 25ppg as the number one option in Brad Steven's offense. And he probably would have been a starter in the All Star game.

And worst of all he has a huge chip on his shoulder from having to share the spotlight with LeBron James and he wants to prove he can be the undisputed leader of a team. Not good for the soft spoken well mannered Gordon Hawyard. Look for Kyrie to try and score 30 points each no matter how many shots it takes him. Hayward will be reduced to being his White sidekick.

Speaking of OKC there's something that really bothered last season and I don't think anyone else picked up on it. We kept hearing over and over again how Russell Westbrook had to put the team on his back because the OKC roster is the worst in the league. I really got sick of hearing about how bad the rest of the team was. At first I thought they were doing it to prop up Westbrick but then I started thinking about it more and I realized that it probably had more to do with the Thunder being the Whitest team in the league last season. Over half of their rotation was White. There's no way Westbrick would have had his MVP season without those white players. They sacrificed so much for him and I really wish they hadn't.
