The Jags haven't had a .500 record since 2010, and you'd imagine that this will continue with a pretty pathetic roster outside of star MLB Paul Posluszny. Blake Bortles will start the season at quarterback, but is very close to being canned by the Jags if his play doesn't improve quickly - veteran journeyman Chad Henne backs him up. A 1/5 white OL will definitely not help Bortles' case, as it will likely be a turnstile, while overall mediocre receivers and a terrible starting tight end won't help either - you'd think even guys like Tom Brady wouldn't do very well in this offense. The defense isn't much better, with only Poz to look for, who has had 100+ tackles in 8 of the last 9 seasons (130+ 5 times) while also being an excellent coverage linebacker - PFF says "(2016) saw him allow just one touchdown in coverage all year; he also recorded 57 defensive stops (seventh among all LBs). Posluszny graded positively in every facet of the game PFF measures, and he wasn’t penalized all season." Sack specialist Hunter Dimick, rookie out of Utah, is on the practice squad and will hopefully be promoted sometime soon.

QB: Blake Bortles, Chad Henne
FB: Tommy Bohanon
TE: Ben Koyack, James O'Shaughnessy (mixed?)
OL: Brandon Linder, Josh Wells, Tyler Shatley, Will Poehls

MLB: Paul Posluszny

Special Teams: K Jason Myers, P Brad Nortman, LS Matt Overton
Practice Squad: DE Hunter Dimick, OG Chris Reed

Starters: 3
On 53-man roster: 13

Overall a very dark roster, and will almost certainly have an unsuccessful season. They're just a center and a middle linebacker away from being Oakland. Just have to cheer on Bortles to prove his doubters wrong and secure his spot as a good franchise quarterback, and Posluszny to continue his very good career.

The Jaguars' center, Brandon Linder, is one of the best offensive linemen in the game. Linder is a White man and the Jaguars' best offensive player.

Their middle linebacker, Paul Posluszny, is one of the best linebackers in the game. Posluszny is a White man and the their best defensive player.

You'd think the Jaguars would recognize a trend.

Here is the swarthy pajeet who owns the Jaguars.

Why would we expect him to have a team that is fair to White players?

Pathetic team with pathetic ownership. Jacksonville is one team I actually wouldn't mind moving cities. They haven't been relevant since Brunnell.

The Jags' pathetic depth chart at WR is currently Marqise Lee, who has been mostly an oft-injured bust so far, and career scrub Arrelious Benn as starters, Allen Hurns (who was nearly cut at the end of training camp) and someone called Keelan Cole backing them up, and then McCaffrey. I always liked Bryan Walters but didn't think he'd ever become a starter in the NFL. McCaffrey on the other hand has the talent, athleticism and pedigree to do so. Barring more injuries at the position, the best we can likely hope for this season is that Max starts seeing the field as the 4th or 5th receiver, does very well, and slowly begins to climb the depth chart.

Happy for Max, he'll need a combination of injuries and drops by upsiders to see the field, but when he does, he's in a solid position to display his talents.

Paul Posluszny, perhaps the league's premier tackling machine of the past decade, was only on the field for 8 snaps on Sunday after being an every down player his entire career. That effectively brings the Jags down to just 2 White starters, Bortles and center Brandon Linder. And this on a struggling franchise that annually has lots of empty seats and would respond very positively to having some good White players.
