From 2005-2013 6, 8, 9, 8, 8, 6, 5, 4 white players with no write up done in 2014 and 6 starters in 2015. In 2016 they are projected to start 8.
Coming into this season the Huskies have a decent amount of buzz surrounding them. Chris Petersen is in his 3rd year and going back to his time with Boise St. he has been one of the most white friendly coaches in the country. His recruiting methods seem to be whitening up one of the blacker teams in the PAC 12 so I remain cautiously optimistic.
Jake Browning is a promising young QB who should continue to get better under Petersen's tutelage.
On offense 4/5ths of the back up o-line are white, QB KJ Carta Samuels, TE Drew Sample, TE Jeff Lindquist (perhaps a gadget player), dynamic true freshman RB Sean McGrew (not sure if he is redshirting), RB Gavin McDaniel (brother of former ND RB Cam McDaniel).
Defense is still a work in progress with only LBs Sean Constantine and Ben Burr-Kiven listed on the two deep depth chart however a decent number of underclassmen on the DL and LB.
