Since 2005, Iowa has started 11, 13, 15, 15, 13, 12, 11, 12, 16, 13 and 14 Whites

The 2016 Iowa Hawkeyes look to start 14 Whites

Offense:
QB C.J. Beathard
WR Matt VandeBerg
WR Riley McCarron
LT Cole Croston
LG Boone Myers
RT Ike Boettger
FB Drake Kulick
TE George Kittle

Defense:
LDE Anthony Nelson or Matt Nelson
DT Nathan Bazata
RDE Parker Hesse
OLB Ben Niemann
MLB Josey Jewell
SS Brandon Snyder

Iowa University is located in Iowa City, IA which is 82.5% White and 5.8% black according to the 2010 US Census.

The projected number of White starters on Iowa's football team is 15/22 which is 63.6%.

This means that White football players are underrepresented by 18.9 percentage points (82.5% - 63.6%) given the geographic location of the University.

George Kittle is the starter at tight end.

Iowa's expecting big things from Parker Hesse. Cole Croston, a senior, has a good opportunity to up his draft stock.

Does that mean they are starting 15 Whites? If so, go Hawkeyes (14 is still good too)!!

Good catch. I missed that. I'll update my original post to include that. Thanks.

Thanks for all of the updates. We apprectiate all the guys taking the hours to research this for the
upcoming college season.

I'm excited to see how Iowa does. They are in a very tough division but they should hold their own.

Right now, Bo Bower has elevated and is practicing with the first team at the third LB position, which would give Iowa another White starter and a snow patrol. Too early to tell, and he is White, so he'll probably have to play much better than his black counterpart to get the starting nod.

It's nice to see that Iowa is falling off in the deep end of the caste pit just yet!

True. I expect them to level off to around 11 Whites in the future. Their recruiting of White players is better than most programs, but still not great. This year, they are hitting Texas hard, and have proudly secured four affletes from there already, I believe. Last year, I think they only had two (maybe three) White recruits on defense. I think Iowa is doing this because it grates their coaches, the administration, and the program in general, to constantly see and hear the Caste media downplay their ranking as "undeserving" or belittle them with having a "weak schedule" when the Caste media's only real objection is that they have a successful program that consists of a majority of White players and the potential bad optics it would cause them and their agenda if a team like this breaks through all the way to the end and wins it all. So, Iowa is silently thinking "if we could just blacken up the team some, all of this negative media talk would go away".

I dropped Iowa down to 14 due to losing a starting position at Right Guard.
