Rick Porcello wins the Cy Young in the AL and Max Scherzer in the NL

Porcello had a break out year going 22-4 with a 3.15 ERA and at only 27 years old already has 107 wins. I believe he Clayton Kershaw and Madison Bumgarner have an outside shot at winning 300 games if they can stay healthy.

Scherzer went 20-7 with a 2.96 ERA and 284 strikeouts. He led the league in wins and K's.

Tomorrow, the MVP's will be announced. Bryant should win in the NL. Keep your hopes up that the voters do the right thing and make Mike Trout the deserving AL MVP!

You're stubborn! The AL MVP is going to be the Papi Memorial Trophy this year. Trout has NO chance at it. IMHO

Porcello and Scherzer were part of the Tigers rotation (along with Verlander and Price) a couple of years ago. I saw Porcello pitch alot. He can be really good, he was good at a young age. It was a shame they traded him but with the size of contracts today no team can afford to keep it's stars.

I've been called that a time or two and a lot worse. I think it'll go to Papi's teammate Mookie Betts, however, I still think Trout has an outside shot!
1. Betts
2. Trout
3. Altuve......I think, but I hope I'm wrong.

I hope you're right, about Trout. It seems like the voting pattern is to recognize different guys, as if some kind of diversity in winners is more desirable. For example I think Justin Verlander was more deserving then Porcello of the Cy Young. He was much more dominant, Porcello had more wins, but supposedly the modern sportswriter doesn't put as much stock into wins anymore. But Verlander has won before and is often in the conversation. Heck even Kluber might have been more deserving, but he's another former winner.

OK I'm about as good as a Democratic pollster at predicting elections. Congrats to Mike Trout. I thought he would be passed over in favor of a sentimental vote for Fat Papi (or Betts) but it's great to see they did the right thing and gave it to him.
