2015 Rice Owls

Since 2005, Rice has started 14, 14, 8, 10, 11, 10, 12, 14, 11, and 10 whites. The Owls become one of the rare FBS teams to have more whites starting on defense than offense. The Owls look to bump back up to 12 this year!! Backups on the two deep include QB Tyler Stehling, WRs Cameron Decell, Lance Wright, and Parker Smith, TE Luke Turner, LT Conner Patterson, LG Kenneth Thompson, RG Cory Klingler, RT Sam Pierce, LE Connor Johnson, DT Grant Peterson, NT Cody Henessee, RE Brady Wright, WLB Nick Uretsky, and SS Garrett Fuhrman. Even with a black QB, this is still a team to cheer for!! You don't get 7 white starters with a ton of white backups on defense very often! I really hope they contend for the C-USA title this year.
