2015 Florida Gators

Florida has started 6, 6, 6, 3, 3, 3, 2, 2 and 4 Whites since 2005. The are projected to start 6 in 2015.

The new coach Jim McElwain is no friend to white athletes - especially on defense but he does seem to prefer the prototype QB which should ensure a white QB starting as long as he remains the head coach. Jeff Driskel is off to La Tech after a disappointing career in Gainesville so hopefully we see the highly touted and decorated Will Grier take the helm.

In another small note Florida has signed former Fordham Olineman Mason Halter. He was a two time all american in the FCS. He should translate well and hold his own against all the coal he is going to be playing against. With a strong senior season he should find himself drafted next year.

Back ups on the two deep include TE Bair Diamond, OG Andrew Mike, C Cam Dillard DT Andrew Ivie, RUSH DE/LB Jordan Sherit and LB Matt Rolin. They do have three or four white DBs but none have seen playing time - assuming they are on the team to keep the GPA up.

Also, Taven Brayan on the D-line is another white player on D who should get in on the action.

Actually all the projections I've seen have Brayan well entrenched as a starter. I honestly didn't even bother to look up his picture! 7 starters for Florida!

Ill be honest - I never bothered to look up Taven Bryan because I just assumed he was not white with that name. Good catch and thanks for bringing him to our attention.

It'll be a rarity to see 7 White starters for "Flowerida". I might have to actually pull for them a few games. ;-)

Yes D-Tackle Taven Bryan (6'-5" 292) brings a nasty mean streak all the way from the Rocky Mountain State of Wyoming! Refred to as "Caveman" by his coach...the Gators went a long way to get him(thought he might end up at Nebraska)...strong young player!

LB-Alex Anzalone from PA (6'-3" 244) runs like a RB...wouldn't surprise me to see him go Full Luke Kuechly on the SEC!

QB Grier should have no trouble overtaking the pedestrian passing Treon Harris on the depth chart

Jake McGee is an NFL prospect that should have a big year if healthy!

Hoping soph. WR CJ Worton(younger bro of JJ) can make an impact

Another ultra-caste program Clemson(except QB) has been making similar cross roads with whiter than usual recruiting classes...Florida was very close to fielding teams that rembled FAMU or Beuthune-Cookman ...good to see a lil' more salt mixed with the pepper!
