Since 2006 the Razorbacks have started 6, 7, 5, 7, 5, 5, 6, 7, and 7 white players. While still small numbers, this has put them at one of the friendlier SEC teams simply by virtue of maintaining their pathetically low number.
The Razorbacks are coming off a 7-6 season lead by QB Brandon Allen, a season that culminated in a bowl win over Texas. Former Wisconsin HC Bret Bielema is in his second year coaching the squad, and should bring in some good, white talent.
The Razorbacks lost QB-turned-TE AJ Derby to the NFL, but junior TE Hunter Henry returns as arguably the best tight end in the SEC. The 6-5 250lb mismatch should rack up plenty of catches, and should hear his name called should he declare for the draft. The highly athletic, not to mention talented blocker, Henry will be fun to watch.
At both wide receiver spots, Arkansas has some hard working, blue collar boys as back ups. Former JuCo transfer 6'4" Cody Hollister has legit 4.5 speed, and should see increased playing time. Junior Drew Morgan will back up at one of the other WR spots. The small and quick Morgan has routinely impressed in practice. The Hogs oline will feature 6-10 297 Dan Skipper at RT. Brooks Ellis will take over at weakside linebacker. The lone white starter is arguably the best defensive player on the team. True freshman Hjalte Froholdt, a native of Denmark, is already a back up at the DT spot.
Despite only 6 starters this year, this is still one of the brighter spots in the SEC given their depth.
Offense -
QB - Brandon Allen
TE - Hunter Henry
RT- Dan Skipper
RG - Frank Ragnow
C - Mitch Smothers
Defense -
LB - Brooks Ellis
Back ups who should see playing time include QB Austin Allen, WR Cody Hollister, WR Drew Morgan, TE Alex Voelzke, C Zach Rogers, RG Marcus Danenhauer, and DT Hjalte Froholdt.
